Yes, Bioware should make female animations and poses for female Shepard.

What, you didn't like the Limping Gorilla walk/run animations for both DudeShep and FemShep?

ME1 had perfectly functional movement anims for both DudeShep and FemShep.  Fem's weren't too girly, but they were still identifiably female.  And neither of them shambled like a surly oaf.  Why were they pitched in favor of the Limping Gorilla?

Pretty much this we both look like idiots in the game but who cares doesn't bother me why is it a big deal. I might prefer the ME1 way as long as we could run whenever we wanted but not go usain bolt fast.

Only gripe I had with the femShep animations was the sitting wrong in the dress. If the dress had been longer, then no big deal. Her clomping around walk didn't bother me since I pretty much walk the same in heels since I so rarely wear them compared to my every day sandals, athletic shoes or moccasins.

I fully agree. ME1 did it exactly right.

I admit I am one of the most vocal posters when it comes to this particular issue. Seeing that picture in the OP just makes itch my head and want to facepalm. They did it right in LOTSB, and I even made a thread thanking them for it. But seriously? Again?!

I believe I have made my problems in this regard crystal-clear, so no need to repeat myself all over again. And if BioWare is too lazy to do it right in ME3, then there is this remarkably simple solution:

They should go back to ME1 Femshep her walk was good.

Because the fact of the matter is they ALREADY have a set of animations that works perfectly fine with FemShep; they don't have to create a new one from scratch if they don't feel like it.

I will seriously rage if FemShep doesn't have the animations she deserves in ME3. Other than pure laziness on the developers' part, there is simply no reason for her not to.

Agreed 100%, Femshep definitely needs her own animations.

I think DA2, for instance, did a great job at that - Lady Hawke looks strong, but still feminine.

Precisely. If they do the same with ME3 FemShep as the Dragon Age team did with Lady Hawke, then consider me a very happy panda.

I liked the ME1 animations. She wasn't swaying her hips like a streetwalker but she wasn't a lumbering buffon.

The same applies for male Shepard too. I want my old walk back. The new one looks retarded :(

Yeah, they need to fix male Shepard's walk as well. There's somthing about the way he walks/runs in ME2 that just doesn't look right, he shuffles along like a zombie.

They couldn't be bothered with creating unique Batarian helmets in Arrival, wanting female animations is clearly asking for too much apparently.

Arrival didn't have the same budget as ME3. Not even close.

I wouldn't worry too much about it. If they know it's a problem, it'll probably be treated.

In certain circumstances female animations would be nice. Not for everything of course, but maybe for when Shep sits and such, also a walking animation too perhaps.

I still remember getting in the disguise dress for Kasumi's mission. I enter through the doors ready to strut my stuff all cool and badass.

I push the joystick forward.

LIMP DRAG LIMP DRAG LIMP DRAG.

Yeeeaah shep, real femme fatale there.

FemHawke animations for femShep would be too much, IMO. I hated the way femHawke ran. The only problems I have w/ femShep's animations is when she sits down (and not just in the dress) and when she walks. femShep is not a refined noblewoman like LadyHawke, but neither should she be a hunched over gorilla. I do hope this is addressed in ME3.

Please, fix this in ME3. I'm not saying that a woman can't sit like that, just think twice if she has to wear a dress

The middle ground everyone's talking about, between the LadyHawke sensual walk and the now Femshep Gorilla limp, is ME1's walking animations. Period.

Let's do something like that for ME3, please Bioware?? :)

And if dresses do come up again in ME3 (for what situation, I'm not sure), crossing legs would be necessary as well.

IN ME3, GIRL BETTER BE CLOSING HER LEGS.

Seriously though! It's such a horrid distraction, when I see her sitting down in a scene, I just can't help but concentrate on that particular stance!! It's hard to disregard it when she walks like a freakin' gorilla!

And for those who are saying that she's in the Marines, well, my aunt is in the Marines and when we have family parties and she dresses up, I don't see her sitting there, showing her crotch off for everyone to see, she doesn't have an awkward stride when she walks.

She knows how to be a LADY. And FemShep should know too. >:(

BW has a lot more work to do than just giving femsheps female animations. They still need to correct little things like reaching for your pistol thats placed on your LEFT hip when Shep is obviously a righty. Also the way characters hold their weapons just seems so off. Who holds a shotgun way out in front like that? How about the way they hold their submachine guns?

But when you only play Shepard as a female those issues are trivial when your animations in general are completely inappropriate. I dont or barely notice the issues you mention because there are bigger issues for femshep players.

It should be stressed that the issue really goes beyond the dress. I can see BW's answer to the issue being "no dress" in ME3. The dress only makes a bad problem even worse.

Jaime's right, the dress isn't the issue at all. All it does is high light a fundamental core problem

The fact that one rig doesn't work on both genders of Command Shepard.

After seeing that screenshot, I'll agree with the OP.

Or maybe FemShep is just really classless.

I think they should rework quite a bit on Dragon Age II females Animations to make them less over the top and we are in business for some decent females animations. But in combat we should stay with some unisex animation so the ''Warrior/Soldier'' deep setting of Shepard stays. anyways, OP's image proove that some males animations FAIL on females...

ALSO

The crouching animation is AWFUL. Absolutely terrible. Worst animation, next to the open leg sitting. You crouch down, with your arms hanging at your sides, and your knees jutting out in a really painful manner!
