After getting to near the end of Act 2, I noticed that Aveline's upgrades just upped and vanished from her armor while in the middle of the quest (I inspected her at the time) while everyone elses remained the same, despite me purchasing hers almost first and foremost because she's the party tank.

Anyone else had this issue?

Bumping with whine.

Just bought the impact plating from the armor vendor in Lowtown, and now Aveline has only 1 upgrade, despite completing the raiders on the cliffs armor and the one from act 1 (Underpadding - Guardsmen)

I'm on act 3 and the armor upgrades still haven't come back, I've used a makers sigh on her quite a few times, that a related problem?

Not sure if it has been fixed yet or whether it even applies to Aveline. But with certain characters it´s known , like isabella, that using maker´s sigh while the armor was upgraded will make the upgrade go poof and dissapear.

Companions losing upgrades when they get a new outfit is a known problem and is on the list of priorities for the next patch. Odd though because Aveline wasn't affected for me, but Isabella and Varric both were.

It was quite the pain with Varric too, after getting his new outfit in Act 3 all 3 of his rune slots disappeared which removed the Rune of Valiance which then left me unable to open the Master Chest that was just sitting there, taunting me.

Also a question related to Varric's 2nd outfit: Does it look any different? Am I crazy? It looks identical to me. Unless you have to use a Maker's Sigh on him just like Isabella?

Varric has no second outfit from what I can tell. I've played the game multiple times. The only companions to get a second outfit not including Aveline, Anders or the Hawke Sibling because theirs are story based is Isabela, Fenris, and Merrill. The three just stated are unlocked through romancing them.

Varric and Sebastian seem to be the only ones without an alternate outfit.

After completing Varric's "Haunted" quest in Act 3 it said "Items Received - Varric's Armored Leather Duster". His outfit was called Varric's Tailored Leather Duster up to that point.

Upon resuming my game from my home just a few minutes ago and selecting my party, Varric did get all his rune slots back, but they're empty. = /

Ok so after reading the Wiki, apparently all is well. Just wondering if it's supposed to change his appearance? Or is it simply just the name that changes?
