There was moment when I thought that the "Talkative man" in the Hanged Man was actually Hawke, a poor refugee from Fereldan on whose ramblings Varric build the story of the Champion Hawke.

@ Icymagebane Will have to admit that I've yet to run through a solo game of DA2 I have in allot of games. But it seems like the companions are pretty much intertwined into the quests and story line to make a true solo run feasable. Wonder if anyone out there as yet to run through DA2 Solo?

@Alistairlover are you referring to the Ogre in the very beginning when you leave Lothering after the Blight and before you get to Kirkwall? If so I'll admit that was the only time my Fem hawke kited around and I was playing the game on hard.

@TheAngryone come on now what do you have against Sandal I like the guy and think that he's cool. ENCHANTMENT!

@AlexXIV LOL that was funny.

@GodLikeDevil Well yes all the companions play a relatively small part in the store I'll have to agree with you on that there. But what happens if you were to run through the game Solo Just taking the indiviual compaions along for their quests?

@Kcman5 Your right Hawke does earn the title when he takes on the Arishock. Of course I'll have to admit in all my play throughs I've only had the one on one dual with the arishock no party members involved.

I have nothing against Sandal really... aside from I would never let such a loose cannon live in my house for 6 years.
My problem is them turning Sandal into some sort of demi-god.

Yea Hawke lets Sandal in her home, tolerates Anders invading her estate to shove his manifesto everywhere even if she was very pro-Templar, doesn't do anything about Isabela carving up dirty images on walls with a knife.
But she decides that Gamlen isn't good enough to even visit every few weeks.

God I am starting to hate Hawke.

I assume Gamlen is being stubbon (apart from that one glitched game after Leandra died where he decided to stay in my house forever).
It would at least have been nice to have a scene where Hawke offers to let him stay though.

Ya know, I just realized what an a-hole she is. Family is supposed to always come first. Blood is thicker than water!

In comparison, Varric still wants to help his brother after everything he's done.

So yea, Varric is the only champion and sane man in madness douchebagery infested Kirkwall.

Well you have to convince him not to kill him first.

I think Varric already wanted to help him, unless Hawke goes Palpatine. I may have forgotten however.
Doesn't it result in rivalry points?

He seems more content with altering improving the size of boobs. And ok, thugs raining from the sky.

I think it's rivalry if you convince him not to kill Bartrand, friendship if you have Anders temporarily cure Bart then have Varric not kill him.
I'm always maxed by then so I'm not sure.
