The PlayStation Network is down for maintenance, Sony claims it's due to an external intrusion of their system, so it could be Hackers. Either way, Sony is working hard on getting the PSN back up, and say it will be back up this weekend.

Yep, the PlayStation Network is down, has been down 2-3 days, do not know when it will be back up.

Strange this is, I was able to update DA2 to version 1.01 even with the PSN down. Anything else related to PSN or EA servers, though, is kaput. Have to play DA2 in offline mode for now.

PSN is being rebuilt from scratch meaning i have to wait even longer to use the 25 pound PSN network card i got on the day it went down and to go online on the 5 games that i bought last thursday. I was looking forward so much to getting the mass effect dlc

It doesn't bother me much, I mean, I have Portal 2 waiting on my PS3 and stuff, but I just figure I'll play something old that I haven't played yet meanwhile, Like TRON 2.0 which I just got...
People tend to get so angry, but I really think there are other things to do meanwhile.

i didnt mean to sound angry its just that i have bad luck with these things like when i waited all week to get a 2000 point card for wiiware and when i got the card my wii wouldnt turn on for 7 days

This is really annoying but im more annoyed with BW. Played through DA:O on the ps3 only to find out that if you dont install the WH dlc before patching it wont fix the save bug after its complete. So my whole DA2 weekend went down the toilet but i will get time to playthrough it again in a month or so

As for how long PSN is gonna be down my guess is that its gonna be quite some time before it gets up again. Seem we are getting fukashimad by Sony ie deny how bad it is until we stop asking

Current RUMOR is that PSN is down because of the DEV BUG loophole. Sony took PSN down and is rebuilding from scratch because it was defectivebydesign

No its because some hackers were downloading PSN store stuff for free

This is a huge problem for me cuz I can't activate my online redemtion code for Mass Effect 2 through my DAII now!! D: And the code isn't valid after the 30th of April (this coming weekend)!!! CURSE YOU PLAYSTATION NETWORK!!!! DX
