I don't understand where people are getting the assumption that the team was gotten together to fight the Reapers. From the very start of the ME2 the goal was to take down the COLLECTORS. No one ever said anything about everyone sticking around to fight the reapers too.
I mean yeah everyone is (maybe) loyal now, but that doesn't mean they're just gonna stick around with Shep until the Reapers show up. They got together for one suicide mission. Mission Accomplished.
They now have lives outside of Shepard.
Thane has a son and is Dying.
Samara is a Justicar. (She says at one point on Omega that "After your mission" she'll come back there to do some justicaring)
Tali is a Quarian and they only split from the Fleet every so often. But she's one of the ones I see more likely sticking around.
Kasumi was hired by Cerberus. Otherwise she's a thief who has more stealing to do.
Zaeed is a hired merc. He either A) needs to go find moar moneh. Or
needs to go find moar moneh and Vido.
Grunt I'm sure wants to go find himself on his homeworld. He has much Krogan-y things to learn.
Jack is a criminal who doesn't like to be tied down. She wants to go f*** s*** up. She's not gonna sit around with Shep waiting for him to give her that chance.
Mordin is oooold. For a Salarian. He's got family, and other scientific endeavors to pursue.
Garrus probably has nothing better to do and I think he's confirmed as a solid Party member so woot.
Miranda and Jacob have a lot of ties to Cerberus. So either they're still working for TIM or are running from TIM.
Legion probably has other Geth stuff to do or is still with Shep, or has to hide.
And moar immediately, Shepard is going to Earth to answer for events in Arrival. Rather than drag everyone there why not just let them be off, and he'll catch up when the Reapers arrive. Oh snap here they come.
Samara said she will come to help paragon Shepard if he ever needs her.
Miranda QUIT Cerberus if you destroyed de base (which I have).
Jacob says to Shepard "we better dust off"... as in "WE" as in... Jacob is running from Cerberus as much as Paragon Shepard is. If you think Jack doesn't like to be tied down that means you believed all the bull**** that she told you when you talked to her ingame. Jack would love to be tied down , but she is scared of BEING HURT more than she has been until now. She's one of the few characters that lies to your face & you're supossed to read between the lines. Why do you think Shepard has a dialogue line like "I'm not bitting Jack" or similar phrases in which he tells her to stop lying to him & to herself.
JACK HAS NOWHERE TO GO!

)... more so romanced Jack HAS ALL THE REASONS IN THE WORLD TO STAY

!
Grunt says it clearly: "This is the krogan homeworld? This chunk of rock is barely worth standing on" - Grunt might return to Tuchanka to learn from Wrex about krogan ways, but it's a 50-50 split, because Shepard is HIS BATTLEMASTER!

... and his dialogue after destroying the collector base is pretty reassuring of his return too...
Tali & Garrus are most likely to come back because they have a HUGE FAN BASE + Garrus is baasicaly Shepard's bud & Tali is the best chief engineer for a ship like Normandy.
Thane is very likely to not come back & there is a slight chance that he has passed way... time will tell.
Kasumi might be a thief... but the way you talk about her as a character she sounds booring & unilateral. She's more than that.
Zaeed may be a mercenary, but spending a few months with Shepard is likely to mess with your priorities & I betcha Zaeed learned as much from Shepard as Shepard enjoyed listening to his crazy stories. Basicaly Zaeed is a Shepard gone Renegade & a lot older. Imagine if Paragon Shepard talked to Renegade Shepard. Who would be more likely to influence the other? Zaeed was maybe "just a mercenary" at first, but even though u can't react with him through cutscene dialogue, you can still discover that he's pretty decent under all that ruthlesness. I for one hopes he comes back at some point.
Mordin is Spock. He's definetely coming back.
