Truth to be told, Kaidan might make a decent spectre... but NO ONE spits on Shepard's name without punishment. I hope there will be an option to make Kaidan suffer for what he did on Horizon

I'm surprised people are actually saying Kaidan would make a good Spectre and Ash wouldn't.

It's the complete opposite for me. Never can I imagine Kaidan a freaking Spectre lol.

I know, I want my renegade intterupt lmao. It's cool we get another Human Spectre. But I keep seeing Ashley as a Human version of Saren...............Except she doesnt like all aliens lol.Pre ME3 that is.

Kaidan would just complain about his history with biotics. Ashley would just complain about her family history and xenophobia. Neither are qualified, in my opinion, to be a Spectre. Garrus is the only person in Shepard's party that is truly qualified. His actions on Omega prove that.

Yeah, I don't really think either Kaidan or Ashley are Spectre material. At least not yet. Ashley's still a tad human-centric IMO to really represent The Council, even if she's been Paragonned somewhat (though that said, I could see her being pushed into the role by Udina in a Sacrificed-Council outcome), and I'm not really confident that Kadian could make the tough decisions when push came to shove (i.e. I think he's a little too emotional and idealistic).

Garrus is about the only squaddie we've had IMO that is up there, and that's only really if he's really learned his lessons and matured after his previous revenge issues and doesn't end up wanting you to help him chase Dr. Sidoneon in ME3. Jacob would probably be the best human candidate thus far, but not until he actually finds himself and gets some perspective. Mordin, Samara and Wrex have the skills, intelligence and ability to, but are too married to their own causes, codes and beliefs to suit the role from a mental standpoint, IMO. Mordin's also getting on.

Pretty much everybody else is a "No" in my books, for various reasons. Miranda's too pro-human and arrogant, while also lacking self-confidence. Tali's still too young and green, and too worried about her people and The Geth. Jack, Zaeed and Grunt are too unstable and lack the proper mindsets and discipline. Thane hasn't long to live and functions better as a "Weapon" rather than a fully functional person. Liara tends to get too emotional. Kasumi, Legion and Morinth... just no.

still,she helped kill a reaper,that's impressive enough. Everyone says that should have made garrus a spectre as well, the same can be said for Ash.

I imagine it would be hard for a crater to make a decent Spectre. Kaidan is more qualified by default.

No, I don't think the last chapter of the game would be a good time to show a human SPECTRE that you have never heard about. No one  (or at least me) would think he was badass and cool. BW seems to force these, "Oh, I'm the best of the best and can kill entire armies, with my face... backwards... in spanish." and it is really unbelievable. If you were the best of the best, we would have heard about you by now. And no one wants some BK randy stealing the spotlight from established characters.

Well she won't be a Spectre if you left her on Virmire, which I'm guessing is what you did. So... yeah.

Also whats with everyone saying Ashely being xenophobic makes her unfit to be a spectre? If I remember correctly Renegade Shep is pretty xenophobic bastard. No need to be hypocritical guys. Besides she's not xenophobic , she just doesn't trust them.

But given the kind of things the Spectre's have to di I get the impression that there are a lot of logistics they need to be able to handle, and Ash has never demonstrated an ability for that. I can see her getting promoted pretty high, like I said she's a great soldier. She just dosn't seem subtle enough for a secret agent.

Shepard is good at killin', fightin and - if we believe the expository writing - leadin'. 

Ashley is good at killin' and fightin'.

Ashley might be good at leadin'. We don't know for sure because we don't really get to see her attempt it.

If Ashley turns out to be good at leadin', then she is as qualified as Shepard. Even if she doesn't, she's still two-thirds as qualified as Shepard. What is the issue?

Gameplay. And not something they bothered to track, either.  I.e., story doesn't give a crap who was and was not on your team at any given time during ME1 except Virmire, and then only about Ash/Kaidan.
