Clarifying if I can change my sheps face or not.

Anyways he has a glitch in his eyes that when he blinks he has what looks like double eyelids. So in my quest to try and change his face I have discovered to my annoyance that there seems to be no way to do this in either ME1 OR 2.
So here is the facts I have so far.
In ME2 you do not get to edit your imported face, and your facecode is not actually your facecode. (When I used his facecode to try and edit him, all it did was generate one of the presets with a goatee) So trying to edit my face via ME2 won't work.
Ok so maybe I can change it in ME1? I've been wanting to replay for some time, and this might have been a good excuse.
Apparently not. When you select a NG+ you instantly start the game skipping the face editing.
So I just want to confirm. There is no way, ME1 or 2, to edit my face without starting from scratch?

Ah well, maybe the eyelid thing will be fixed in 3.

Now I have a facecode for her. I was able to run that through the ME2 to ME1 Facecode Converter to get slider values for ME1. Aside from the nose being off by one position and the eyebrow color being an impossible number (both easy to correct manually), it was spot on.
I used that to replicate my femShep (with small differences like skin-tone and eye color) so I could play different classes without the annoyance of hearing Hale's voice coming out of the "wrong" face.
Anyway, it certainly couldn't hurt to try something similar with your maleShep. Try making a small change to a duplicate of your save file and see if it makes the right face-code appear for you. Maybe start with something as simple as opening a save in Gibbed and doing a "save as..." with no changes. If that doesn't work, try changing something harmless, like the amount of a mineral resource. If that doesn't work, look up the proper hair codes for a maleShep and change the hairstyle following the linked instructions. Hopefully one of those will give you a facecode.
If not, I don't know what to tell you. Something worked for me, and that is the only thing I did to my original femShep's game that seems like it could have caused it.

Hmmm... this may or may not work. I just checked with my current femShep (who started as a replica from the previously gotten facecode taken into ME1), whose hair I have also modified with Gibbed, and she doesn't have a facecode on her squad screen.
So, I don't know what to tell you. Maybe I just got lucky. Somehow it worked for me that my original imported femShep got a custom facecode.

Good luck with your cosmetic facial constructions in your future game play.

........ Even when I figured out how to import the saved femshep from my 2nd completion of the game, I had to keep tweeking the facial structure to get the look I wanted for her. (I kept putting too much gaunt in the cheeks and she came out looking like a very cadaverous Grace Jones.) Now, she looks exactly like I envisioned her and she's posted in my album......
I have trouble with the cheek bones on my manshep myself...I have a penchant for high, broad cheek bones and noticed in the making of him, the cheek bones quickly go from nothing to over the top, there is only a fine line inbetween and trying to catch that moment is tedious...got 'em as good as I can now, but could do with more tweaking.

My current sheps I'm okay with but there's always one trait that I cant get right. Hoping ME3 will have a better face creation.

I must have replayed the first part of ME2 like 50 times to test the face, I cant see why we cant have a play run in some random warehouse/mock conversations and go back to edit if something you cant see in the creation screen. I always have problems with the cheekbones cos you cant get her/him to look at an angle like in DA. only profile/straight on.

Getting her/him to drop her chin from the full frontal helps a give a little better view of the cheek bone structure. The biggest problem I had was with the dim (and somewhat backlit) lighting on the face during the editing. Very hard to see the results of the bone reconstruction and nearly impossible to see what the complexion setting looks like.
Now, if they would just give us a better wardrobe. My femshep isn't a clothes hound but she refuses to put on a Cerberus uniform, hates the casual outfit (doesn't flatter her skin coloring and eyes the way her armour does), and who wants to wear a party dress and heels onboard all the time.
