 Hello,

I want to create my own game on Aurora Engine, used for NWN 1.

1) I want to sell it legally in stores. How can i get the permission from bioware to do it?
2) As for as I understand, if i want to get the engine, I should buy NWN 1 game first, and gat the CD key. However, i cannot find it in stores recomended on nwn.bioware.com
3) I need nwn client and stand aline server for single-player game, isn't it?
4) Where can i find clients and servers for all supported systems (linux/mac/win) ?
5) Shoud i buy a CD key from bioware for each copy i want to sell, even if i dont include original nwn compaign?

Frankly, you are speaking hundreds of thousands of dollars to license the engine. You have to contact Bioware directly, actually, EA since they now own Bioware.

I seriously doubt you are going to get what you want unless you have lots of money available.

If you make something with the NWN toolset, then it is not a 'game' per se, it is a mod or extension to NWN. As such, and according to a very clear part of the EULA, no money can be made from anything created using the NWN toolset.

Even if you did get ahold of the NWN source code somehow, any license would probably only cover the source code and certainly not assets included with the game. So even things as basic as menu buttons and dialogue text would probably have to be done from scratch, not simply edited to what you want. Plus I'm guessing striking a deal with WotC over the DnD 3.0 mechanics would also be incredibly unlikely, so you'd probably have to rewrite the entire combat system.

Short answer, find another game engine Unreal is pretty powerful, and has fairly acceptable demands in terms of royalties etc, and if you're looking for something less 'high end', the standard version of Unity is free, versatile, and has some pretty high level functions in its API to make it pretty easy to get into.
