 Ok this poll I conducted had all the characters listed except Morinth (I forgot her when it was too late) and it turned out some surprising results in my opinion which I will put the list them her for everyone to see

(The number pattern) and sorted by highest 1st lowest last

To me i find the following most surprising about this

• Tali being the most voted for by such a large margin
• Kaiden getting a very high level of votes (twice as many as Ashley)
• Miranda Being the most popular of the ME2 only characters (considering how many people seem to dislike Miranda) and being 14 times more votes than what Jacob managed
• Wrex being the least popular ME1 character (maybe people voted against Wrex due to doubting him being a full squad member in ME3) but is still surprising considering how many people remember and love his attitude during both ME1 and ME2
• Jacob being the least popular of the ME2 only characters
• Most of the ME2 characters getting the least amount of votes out of all the characters in the story (probably being of everyone expecting to see them as full squad members in ME3)

what does everyone think to these findings (i am sorry to those Morinth fans that your not included in the poll but I can imagine that the figure you would get would be very similar to most ME2 only characters[*]

There's absolutely nothing surprising about Tali's position in that list. In fact she so often disproportionately skews results it's often easier to exclude her from polls, so you can see more clearly how all the other companions stack up against each other. And that's not a dig on her character, I'm just saying if you get 1500 responses and 1200 are for Tali, then only the remaining 300 responses are actually of much interest.

I am not surprised in a way but never ever understand why Tali always get most of the votes she is not an interesting character in ME1 just a question mark on if she looks like Daffy Duck or one of the Aliens out of Aliens Vs Predators

But i was really surprised that wrex was so low down but Garrus did not do too badly at all but i know what you mean

But I might conduct a second survey which may take your advice and exclude Tali to get more of the facts about the other characters but will probably upset Tali Fans especially considering I managed to upset a Morinth Fan for forgetting to Include her lol

I doubt it. I see no reason to believe there's something fundamentally different about people who play Mass Effect and visit the forums and those who play Mass Effect and don't visit the forums. This kind of seems like trying to lay claim to a silent majority, and I'm always skeptical of people who do that.

I'm sure I could cherry-pick an example of a poll conducted outside the BSN where Tali wasn't #1 as well. The problem is generalizing that to all polls and all players that aren't here.

Face facts, don`t like it than don`t do it, or try not to look at them at all, you just upsetting (in worst case scenario - isulting) other people when excluding someone.

In case of football ---> there long ago will be a riot screaming/angry mob of drunk humans kicking those who have excluded their team from poll "just beacause they want to see it another way".

i agree with thats why i have done a new one without Tali I have even said that tali got a really high number in the 1st one it is just to see how everyone else fairs

You right. Then conduct smaller 2-3 choice polls (Garrus vs Liara vs Turian Concilor) and instead of arguing - do so.

Eh. Not surprising. People can only vote for one character and more players have Tali as their favorite than anyone else. A more accurate poll to see character favorites would be to allow people to vote on their top 10 with a point value depending on how high up the list they are.

For instance, Tali may be the top favorite by the most people, but then everyone else might have her considerably lower on the list. Meanwhile Garrus and Wrex would consistently sneak into the #2 and 3 spots. They just won't get as many top votes because people have a romance they want to play out (like Miranda or Jack) or have some random character they have as a favorite for this reason or that (like Kasumi).

People only like Tali so much because she is the typical Nerd Girl, plus shes an alien and "vulnerable". I still would be happy with just getting Garrus and Ashley back though, they are more interesting and badass than any of the other squadmates.

You should really close that one and make a new one, but this time remove people who are actually CONFIRMED to be ME3 squad members like Ashley/Kaiden, Liara and Garrus, and remove Tali as you did before.... this way you'll get the best overall results of the poll.
