What? No achievement for keeping everyone alive? (What else?)

The game just stated that nobody died at Redcliffe (pre-castle invasion I guess). The amount of micromanagement was excruciating. I got a helm and a couple of folks saying they'll be at the darkspawn battle (like the spy).

No achievement for getting everyone to fight (I assume I got everyone: even the shopkeeper) and no achievement for keeping everyone alive. :(

What achievement awards do you think are missing?

And lets have a little fun with this: What would you name those missing achievements? (Extra points for wit.)

I think two militia men died in my playthrough of that... The named characters lived though. I don't remember if I got anything for that or not though...

Wow, keeping everyone alive at Redcliffe definitely *IS* an accomplishment. I tried it a few times (unsucessfully), then bumped the game down to easy and tried again by going all out with my mage AoE's. That's when I realized that the "No friendly fire" benefit of easy mode only applies to party members as I, myself, wiped out the whole lower section of the village. (hehe!)

For accomplishment names, how about...

Survival Savant

Mother Hen

Healer's Hell

Medic!!!

Only bodies were undead this time.

The first time it was a rather depressing "celebration" (if one could call it that) where four archers and a knight died with no reward.

This time, the same number of blue circles were there at the beginning and end of both fights (was able to pause just before it zoned out after the second fight) and a much more joyous celebration with a helm reward. Got the spy, shopkeeper, and dwarf to fight. Boosted that guy's morale. Got the blacksmith to do his job. Got the priest to fake her blessing (for morale). Got the grandfather's sword for the fight (and offered to return it and gave her $$$ instead when she refused to have it back). Got the oil (which took a bit of ranged management to keep the knight NPCs from rushing into it). Afterward, two guys promised to go fight the darkspawn when the time came.
Does that not deserve its own achievement? :(

I would call it:
==Cat Herder==
Able to rouse all possible assistance and keep all party and NPCs alive throughout the Redcliffe undead encounter.

(Have you ever tried to herd cats. Yeah. It's like that.)

With the six origin stories and all the different branches this story can take, 50 achievements will only go so far.

This is my favorite achievements site

So what exactly is the point of the achievements? outside of those annoying pop ups. They just seem like useless fluff.

I think the bottom half of the defense was the hard one, next time I'm going to try and move 1 character down there ahead of time and have him waiting there until the battle starts and see if that helps.

All Xbox 360 games have them and they contribute toward gamer score - they are challenges for game completionists.  Plus they appear on our gamercards!!

Achievements are mostly just for fun. It is kind of nice to have something pop up when you do something in the game.

I do hope they add more achievements though.

Redcliff is hard? Well I guess maybe my first playthrough was tough because that was the first location I went to but the second time around it was an after thought.

LOL...For *ME* it was!  Well, I should clarify by saying the pre-castle battle itself wasn't difficult, but I still haven't been sucessful at not letting a single villager die.

Sadly, this won't work, as the cutscene where you're informed that it's under attack will immediately teleport-regroup your entire party at the messenger.

As for what to call it, I call it:
Tactical Genius.

Just kept everyone at Redcliffe alive on Nightmare difficulty! The first time I tried I had just one death, didn't even have to reload; but for some reason the difference in challenge between one death and zero deaths was massive! Finally pulled it off, didn't have any healers in the party either. :D

Anyway, enough bragging, I'd call the achievement:
"OSHA Certified" (OSHA is the Occupational Safety and Health Administration in the United States, charged with making sure safety regulations are being followed at workplaces.)

I kinda obliterated all my dear npc helpers... They were well... Not fast enough... Aoe ftw! :P

And if The poor Canadians ever named an achievement after an american administration, in an International game, I'd not be sure if I'd laugh or cry...

Cat Herder... I liked that one! *lol*

I'd call it Night of the Living Dead. I mean they appear from a green mist. Total Romero tribute.
