you had two games to do that and sheps face is going to be covered in blood anyway
There is still no excuse, and if bioware doesn't let us edit then that will be a slap in the face to the fans.

I want to add scars to my Shep.

Honestly, why would you want to change your appearance each game?
I want to shave my shepard, i gave him a mustache to see how it looked, and i'd really prefer not to import a shepard that looks like a young Paul Teutal SrZenX wrote...

Because you get sick of looking at the same face if there's just one thing out of place and you don't want to have to replay the game all over again. Especially if it was a completionist run.
I want to change my shep's hair, at the very least.
Because Shepard has gone through hell, and it would be nice to reflect that as the trilogy progresses (i.e. a scar, dark circles under eyes, etc.). It would be pretty kick ass to put a scar on some of my Sheps, reflecting what they went through in the suicide mission, as some in this thread have already mentioned.Kaiser Shepard wrote...

I was thinking about this the other day and technically they could easily revert back to the ME1 style. Having it so it's there as soon as fire game up without having any silly in-game reason for why face possibly changes. To some extent it doesn't make sense in ME2 seeing as they were supposed to be having it so Shep was exactly the same person as they were before the original Normandy got blown up and of course people recognising Shepard even if completely changed face code.wako58 wrote...
Don't know what the big deal is. In ME1 your dossier was corrupted so you had the opportunity to set your appearance. In ME2 you're being rebuilt so you can keep or change your appearance. At the beginning of ME3 your Alliance dossier will probably be updating.....which will probably give you a chance to change your appearance again. For those of you who want to keep the immersion, don't change the appearance. For those of you who do, knock yourselves out. Just comes to personal preference about how you play the game.
