[Ama the Rock]

Hello.  I recently (about a month ago) acquired Dragon Age: Origins Ultimate Edition from Steam, and the game has been running just fine.  Everything.  Zero crashes, no issues with the DLC, no slowing down of the game even when playing for 6+ hours at a time.  

However, now on my first encountered problem I cannot get around it.  I'm stuck on the loading screen, at the point "Cadash Thaig" I believe it is, for Shale's companion quest.  I enter the zone, kill the first pack of Darkspawn and as I proceed into the next hallway my game crashes and whenever I try to load back in it sits at the loading screen.

It doesn't freeze, just endlessly loads.  I've tried waiting for at least 15 minutes, and still nothing.  My graphics card is fully updated, I've tried various methods (such as lowering graphics, starting with the 'load' instead of 'resume', and defragmenting the cache files.

Everything but reinstalling, which I would prefer to be a last resort seeing as I would really hate restarting the entire story I worked on so hard.

If anyone could possibly help, that would be great.
