So I just got to level 7 and got my specialization point as expected, but was able to actually unlock assassin... Mark of Death was immediately available - no Zevran yet or anything... Any ideas?
I just unlocked assassin without Zevran?

If you've played before and unlocked it, it will be available on all subsequent playthroughs.
