ending? There was an ending? wait...did I miss something?
You need to get 100% completion and finish the game in under 6 hours.
SPOILER ALERT!
It was all just a dream. Also, Varric was a woman.

it could've been a little longer,
That's what Meredith said.
I'm sorry, I had to. I'll just hit myself and shut up.
Whoa whoa whoa, don't be dissing Orsino's magic staff. That thing was able to make Meredith orgasm through her armor.
Don't take it the wrong way (whoops), I wasn't dissing Orsino, quite the opposite. After that impressive feat Meredith would probably have wanted it to last a little longer.

Ah I see. Well she seemed pretty satisfied from where I'm standing.

I'm sure Flemeth/Morrigan/God child will come swooping down to save the day. Bah.

I'd rather talk about what lava tastes like than Meredith's orgasm face.

I'm surprised there aren't that many posts about how the game ended. Just finished my first run through after killing meredith the game simply ended. What happened afterwards? varric said I disappeared and everyone left except Merrill (I was looking forward to some more one on one with her after the battle!). Isn't it just weird for the game to end like that with even the player not knowing what happened to my own character?
Some other random thoughts
-Apparently I earned Vicount in my achievements tab, nothing in game about it
-Merril wasn't there when I was fighting Meredith. why?
-I prevented meredith from indiscriminately destroying the mages, killed the mage boss and then her. But apparently that equates to siding with the mages? I sided with the templars.
-what was that little scene at the end. I hope they release a DLC to continue the story soon, very unfulfilled right now
Oh last note, I watched the all of the credits and it didn't say "Directed by M. Night. Shyamalan". Now I'm confused.
I though the ending was better than Origin's and obviously left it open for another DA game.
I guess some people just need something to complain about

I'm going to strongly disagree with you. The DA2 ending is pretty bad. I hope Bioware is working on DLC around the clock to help redeem DA2.

And genocidal tendancies (IMO, if one wants to say that, don't want to start another "what IS genocide?" debate in this thread). It's not being disgusted by her age (although admittedly I wouldn't want to see what gravity's full wrath has done to her) it's that I think of her along the same lines as Hitler or Osama bin Laden.

Origins ending was to much Return Of The King with the Arch-Demon(Sauron) and his tower blowing up.
The post game epilouge was better in DA:O but the ending of DA2 was better as Meredith was a far better nemesis.

I am not killing you guys but just saying you could kill yourself. As in if you chose the US ending it is nothing like 'Return of the king'. Alternatively send Alistair away or get him killed. If you choose the 'Return of the King' ending you are hardly in a position to complain about it.Dave of Canada wrote...

When you put it that way, I can def see your point. But...DA2's ending is very abrupt, and pretty silly
(imo) with very little closure (and just screams buy more DLC to see how things "really" end)...Origins has an unoriginal ending, but it's not really something I had a problem with.
In my playthrough, Hawke sided with the mages...like others...I had a complete "wtf" moment during the whole Harvester transformation...followed by Meredith and her enchanted sword which she obviously borrowed from Eternia. I don't know...DA2's ending had potential, but was cumbersomely executed.

The "US" ending? Anyway I don't think it's a bad thing at all to draw comparisons to LOTR unless it's outright plagiarism. Which it isn't. No matter what you write it'll draw comparisons to something. Drawing them to one of the greatest literary works of all time is hardly a bad thing. Especially since, as LOTR virtually created this genre, just about everything in the genre can draw some degree of comparison to it.
