haha. kind of amusing.
Lets hope ME3 doesn't turn into a Daikatana
Wouldn't that require an excessively long development time as well as an in inordinate sized budget?

Thanks for the heads up, but still too rich for my blood. Not too far off what you could get on Direct2Drive wih their easter coupon (25% off). Anyway, even at 33% off they're still probably making more per sale than from a reg price 360 purchase (pocketing $10 from the licensing fee they don't have to pay to MS, no middleman, no physical copy...).

So soon! Who would have thought that butchering DA2 to some kiddie console version to appeal to a wider audience at the expense of core fans would backfire. Who would have thought that this time last year we would be discussing how bad DA2 is as opposed to any morally ambigious plot points. I have every intention of buying a copy but i will still wait until it hits 20 bucks, half a game is worth half the money regardless of fan loyalty.

ITT: people conveniently forgetting that this promotion is also affecting Crysis 2, Sims Medieval, Shift 2, Bulletstorm, etc etc
And you are conviniently forgetting that most of those games bombed as well. In fact DA2 is the high seller of that list. Crysis 2 had a big marketing push and couldn't even beat Homefront, hell, it couldn't even beat Black Ops in its debut month. The Sims M. and Shift 2 were sent out to die with barely any marketing behind and Bulletstorm sold 280k copies across all platforms in NA during its first month. Although the hit is not that big with the EA partners games they were still pretty unsuccesful.
All of these games were pushed before the end of the fiscal year so that they were not added to the losses EA will sustain this FY with Battlefield 3 (which will have a maktg push of 100million+) and SWTOR (which is said to have had a budget of nearly 400million and mktg hasn't even begun yet.) Nevermind all the games they plan to launch, like the follow up to their basketball franchise they had to cancel last year because it was a terrible mess lsing them around 60 million.
So yes, this promotion is basically to cover the stretch of failures they've had recently, all due to rushing their games out the door.
