You can still earn them but your online profile here won't show it until it's back up. I hate Anonymous now

will it say that I earned them?
and once my online profile comes on itll show up?
Im just a little confused because when im not signed in I dont even get to see my trophies at all, so makes tracking a little tedious

I see my trophies while offline so yes, you'll earn them.

I never play online and I have my trophies, you don't need to sign in. You will need to spend an hour syncing them though, ah sometimes Xbox live is just better.

Keep the console bashing to a minimum. Not Sony's fault a group of basement troll hackers decided to have a tantrum and do something that makes them hypocrites to their supposed goal.

if only you knew demon. but if you think im one of the ones participating in this, you are mistaken.

and you are just collateral damage from the war. every war has collateral damage no matter how clean you try to play the game. its nothing against you. anonymous is just attacking sony's business and that means making them pull their hair out in repairing servers and dealing with the ****storm of complaints their customers are sending as a result of this.

to tell the truth our organization has done some commendable things, standing up for our rights to free information, which sony was infringing on. the reason why they were suing the guy was because they dont want their source code to be publicized. in fact ask the bioware developers how much paperwork and hairpulling it takes to make sure they meet sony's standards to have the ability to make ps3 games. they just about, if not, have sony employees breathing down their neck, looking over their shoulder every second to make sure that they dont steal the ps3 sourcecode and release it to the public. sony is keeping as tight of a control over this to keep it "top secret" as the US government is keeping area 51 and the extraterrestrial life top secret.

as a quote from what i guess was on this site that i saved for use in any console wars for anywhere on the interwebs:

where as the ps3, the dev's need to pay sony a butthurt load of money for there customised SKU kits and then more for SKU consoles and they also need sony certified programers and then it takes forever to make a ps3 game ((prime example is mass effect 2)) and sony makes all developers sign a NDA and then gets them to sign other documents to ensure there operating system / sku kits are not allowed to be seen by non-sony certified people.

so first you say your not apart of the group, then you say you are? <.< wow... And sony has a right to protect their source code. They created it, they should have the right to profit from it. If everyone had access to it, Sony would go out of business. If thats the goal of the organization, then they need to take a good hard look at the word hypocrtical.

Dude. Sony had every right to sue, it was their product and they own all rights to it. Hacking is for the most part illegal. Yet Anonymous is some group with genius hackers with misguided and idiotic beliefs that do more harm then good. And the base of that email could very well have no evidence.

For example, PSN is down to EVERYONE, and that hinders our activity. Sony isn't going to learn anything and may just retaliate.

The only good thing I think Anonymous ever did was when they alerted the police about that criminal who raped a girl. Besides what kind of justice is anonymous really? They take off PSN hinders anyone who has a PS3. They're hypocrites like Demon Lord said. Sony will probably only need a day or two to restore the problem if they arn't busy with more important things. Further more, what kind of Justice does anonymous even do?

They hack computers and maybe phones AT best. Unless Anonymous straightens their PRIORITIES, I doubt they'll become anything but a group of basement dwelling imbeciles.

one i did not say i was not part of anonymous. i said im not taking part in the raids. are all americans in the middle east killing terrorists? no some of us are at home in america. do all americans support the war? no. saying im taking part in the raids because im anonymous is stereotypical my fine prejudice friend.

another article that has links to youtube vids that better explain what is going on: http://www.ps3news.c...down-fix/page-4

so my bad its not about the source code but is about putting linux on a ps3.

also not to take part in a console war, but since there is no subscription fee for the ps3 sony is not obligated to get it fixed as fast as possible, i doubt its in their top 10 priorities. where as there is a subscription for xbox live which gives microsoft the responsibility to give the best service to their customers. which is why we get sales on dlc and such while i havent heard of any sales on the playstation.

Actually there is a subscription fee for PS3. Its called Playstation Plus. It's optional to pay for it, but those that are paying for it, are also being affected.

Thepiebaker. You did say you were apart of anonymous.

First you said you weren't here:  if only you knew demon. but if you think im one of the ones participating in this, you are mistaken.

Then you contradicted yourself and said:  to tell the truth our organization has done some commendable things

At the beginning of your third paragraph :D

well according to this video that is apart of the second link i posted anonymous stopped the raids on the psn servers almost 3 weeks ago. this downtime in the servers are due to sony's matenance. and again not everyone in anonymous is taking part in the raids. as you may have noticed me being out of the loop in info on what is going on with these raids i am not taking part. infact i bet about 90% of the discussion between the different members are taking place on 4chan. which i do not visit. as there are different states in the united states anonymous is broken down into different cells, or states. each one is indipendent and when they see fit they ban together. my cell, which shall remain undisclosed, has had literally no discussion about this. infact the first i heard of this was about two weeks ago when i saw an article on msn about it. then i didnt hear of it again until i saw this thread.

You know, I don't understand why they just don't close down 4chan. It's horrid.

And also who knows, Anonymous may be lying :D
Or left really hard irreversible code. (Although I doubt it)

Or both.

It's just, Anonymous has idiotic groups in it. Very idiotic.

Wow thats some nice logic, try that **** in real life, say you want to protest some dudes window company, and you smash the windows in my house to make a point and see how long till you take a few rounds of 7.62 x 39 to the face, chest, legs, where ever it sprays. Your group isn't a nation state and truely could be shut down. Just take a bit of mid eastern law, hack the hands of hackers. Problem solved. **** like this is why we WILL lose or have a more regulated net. Your not making a damn point, your pissing people off and throwing a wrench for a few days into a machine. Yet if it wasn't for the ability to hide I'ld wager most of you wouldn't do jack ****.

Sorry but you guys harm people's lives, justify it with half assed reassoning, then Q_Q when the hammer falls on yah. I'm all for a witch hunt given the same groups have constantly forced me to upgrade and buy security software, me and millions of others can't shop or use the net without some rest given this terroist BS. And thats what Hacker activism amounts to Terrorism. Call a spade a spade. But its funny if you took up a gun or planted a bomb you go to prison or are shot, type a few lines of code, and do the same or worse, and no one gives a crap. Your not hurting big capitilism, or making a point, its like being a Peta activist and stealing food from peoples homes. Your hurting the common man, and history shows you screw with them too much, and they will lynch you.

if you guys are so high and mighty as you claim. Why dont you help Sony and the rest of us, get the network back up? Instead of spewing out your crap of how your group is just defending your own.

Defending your own? I doubt Sony even wanted to initiate an attack on Anonymous, but instead on someone hacking their product.

This reminds me of those two elves that hid with the Qunari. XD
Internet War anybody?

uh... you get the network back on by not doing anything (as an outsider)

if a lot of anon hackers aren't doing anything they're already doing as you asked

some people are just sending a message is all
