Erhm, having just read the article myself, it seems like Sanders and Kai Leng are indeed seperate persons.

No, the image was not captioned at all.  There just happened to be a sidebar (and one that was set apart with a different background color and fonts like all the sidebars) on that same page about Sanders. That image was grouped with the main article's "Know Your Enemy" section.

I apologize, it wasn't captioned.  Though the profile was directly below the picture with same width as the picture, which makes it most directly associated with who Sanders is.

Though I would say that Leng is the one crashing through the Caption's Cabin "sunroof".

Why didnt Anderson kill that retarded excuse for a character when he had the chance?

He put Anderson in a moral, Mass Effect-like dilemma, capture Leng or have Nick Donahue bleed out by Leng's gunshot to the stomach.  Anderson chose saving Nick.

He still shot Leng in the legs after he took off though.

yeah..... but he COULD have shot him in the head.

Of course he could have, if he didn't want him to be captured alive.

then hes an idiot

Why?  Because he wanted the guy to be interrogated?

I really hope Sanders Rank is that of a Colonel.

Unfortunately, the Systems Alliance doesn't have that rank.

Correct, and info just for funsies the equivalent for Colonel will be Captain if it follows U.S. Military at all, and it seems it sorta does.

Just thought about something not related to the thread topic, but relating to that quote.

It says the team has "fallen apart", which makes it sounds like the team didn't just break up on good terms.

Seems to me that the team had some issues and disagreements, and just went their separate ways.

Oooh Kai Leng.  I'm not sure I'm looking forward to that "boss battle".

Also LOL at this quote: "Another character that makes its appearance in Mass Effect 3, James Sanders, a muscular man who "looks like a football player on steroids diet," says Chief."

The more I hear about Sanders, the less promising he sounds.  First, we find out in the Game Informer article that he's the the "questions" guy, who doesn't know anything and has to ask about everything, so that newbies won't be lost ("Oh hey, what are Reapers guyz?").  Now this, which pretty much conjures up a Marcus Fenix looking character in my mind - we got GoW style combat, no we're getting GoW style characters?  Blerg I say, blerg.

Why do I get the feeling that he's going to end up begging for his life right before you kill him saying "I'm worth much more to you alive than dead"

I'm just hoping BioWare takes this opportunity to give us a decent hand-to-hand fight scene in the trilogy. I'm tired of pew pew with guns.

If he is recruitable he'll probably be like Loghain in that he causes some people to get mad at you

My thoughts exactly. We already have Ash/Kaiden (both Alliance soldiers) and possibly the unknown soldier from the reveal trailer - don't we have enough soldiers? Also, Sanders is sounding more and more like a meathead with each new tidbit of information, which is odd, as I remember Casey mentioning in the GI article that he wanted to avoid the gung-ho "bro" feel of typical shooter characters.

Maybe Sanders just looks like a meathead stereotype but doesn't actually think, speak or act like one.

True. However, strong, likeable male-leads hasn't exactly been one of Bioware's strengths as of late.

OK I know this Lang guy is from the books but is he going to be a space ninja? If so what is the justification for swords in a gun battle? It sucked in MGS it isn't doing any better for ME3 for me anyway.

Also, the guy in the picture the OP posted is almost definitely Kai Leng. It pretty much fits his description from Retribution.

Sounds like I need to stop being lazy and go read the books. I don't know why I haven't yet, I read all the time. From what I'm picking up (skimming over posts that look like they may have book spoilers) this guy might give Bioware an excuse to include more cqc. My class of choice has been Vanguard but a class (or maybe even classes) with a lot of melee attacking options would be pretty awesome.

Who says he's a lead (by which I assume you mean "romance option" because no other definition of "lead" fits)?

There are no new classes.  They all get improved basic melee and a heavy melee move unique to the class.
