Bioware, I do not support geth, I do not like them, I abhor them.

Well, that line came from ME1. Eden Prime to be exact, if I recall.

@mrsph Well, you know what they say,

Genius and insanity are two sides of the same coin.

Here's another famous saying, "don't trust people who are bat**** insane" - thatguy212, i serious can't wait to kill Xen in ME3

No, that's not why they did it.  They did it because they were, ironically, afraid the geth would rise up and slaughter them. Also, and also ironically, they were afraid of what consequences the Council would impose on them because they went and created AI, which is sort of a no-no (yes, even before the geth thing.  They just got even stricter after that).

I hope Xen is a LI in ME3

More than likely not, though, I know.

But the Quarians went ahead and made A.I slaves anyway.

Laser guided karma?

Legion itself also doesn't guarantee long term peace with organics. If he's brought along to Tali's recruitment mission he tells her "we do not plan to attack the creators at this time".

Slightly different:  "We do not intend physical harm to the creators at this time."

Also, I'm pretty sure Legion was speaking for itself only, given that's what Tali was worried about at that particular moment.

"There is no individual we are Geth" :P

The geth were never intended to be an AI.

Nope, they were worse than slaves.  They were thinking beings who were put on the same level as a tool.

What? No they made very much non-sapient labor bots that, through a totally unforseen consequence, got smart when networked.  To this day, the individual programs are themselves not sapient (per Legion, they're on par with a VI).  Did you just not talk to Tali in ME1?

They were tools for most of their existence. And the quarians had no clue that they were truly sapient until the tools fought back.  They were actually hoping to prevent them "waking up".

apart from the new rachni pretty much this

We'll have to see about the rachni. And the geth too I suppose, all we've had so far is Legion's reassurance that the geth were peacefull and wanted to build a future for themselves, without involving organic races.

I suppose it is a comforting thought both of those races will have to work with us against the reapers, or be destroyed/enslaved.

@thatguy212 Do you read the other posts by others before you post?

The geth were NOT sentient like humans at that time, meaning they weren't slaves.

Also, (my opinion), geth aren't people.

No. He is right about that one. The geth were not slaves until they accidentally gained intelligence. Before then they were no different than Avina.

Yes, those billions of inoccents who had no involvement in the choice to shut down the geth were all in the wrong and deserved to die.

Sure, yes, of course. That's totally what I said.

"I'm not excusing them."

See that? Those words mean I note that horrible things that happened during the Morning War. But it goes both ways. The Geth did not start the war, the Quarians made the first strike for fear of losing their suddenly self-aware slaves.

(I see that Didy already corrected that last bit)

Yes I'm fully aware that you noted that horrible things happened in the Morning War but then you followed that up with

I'm not excusing them, just pointing out the Quarians were in the wrong there.

Which although acknowledges the attrocities committed by the geth it still blames all of the inoccent quarians who had no involvement with the geth 'genocide'.

Hence my statement.

Also, if there was war between geth and quarians (depending on your choices), I would side withe quarians every time.

Am I the only one who is no fan of either the geth or quarians? I am perfectly content to let them bash in each others heads with rocks. Unless either gets too powerful, then humanity bashes in their head with a rock.

For some reason I can't edit my post, but I wanted to fix the misspelling of "withe" with "with the."

I'm hoping to put Xen's plot into practice myself.
But I suspect Bioware will simply villainize her and not allow me to.

Too bad we can't get Xen and Gavin Archer to worker together to give Shepard a Geth army.
