I always wondered why the DA2 High Dragons suddenly got a case of evolutionary stupidity. Isn't the very nature of nature that mothers protect the young, even at the cost of their own lives?
OTOH, Flemeth and the High Dragon of DA:O have my continued, unflagging support. What else can you do for the reincarnation of Andraste?

That was one of the most annoying goddamn fights in the game.....personally, I support the Nevarrans in their continued efforts to kill every last one of those damn things.

In my first playthrough I went up against the high dragon but could not defeat her and decided to wait a bit longer only to get ninja'd by Orsino into the end-events of the game. The story was too engaging to care about some dragon at some mine.
My second playthrough I knew better and swore I'd defeat her, on hard level. And so I did and it only took me 1.5 hour >.<. Which was...frustrating. Plus duo to Anders dying in the end and having no way to ressurect him I had to do the last 10% of the fight in casual. Blast it!
In my third playthrough I felt confident I could take her down without tuning down the difficulty. This time I had an assasin rogue and it turned out that assasin rogues are not fit for this fight. So she spend most of her time just looking pretty. But rejoice! Another fricking 1.5 hour later I killed her. A full hard difficulty High dragon fight! *cheer*
Then she bugged out and I couldn't loot her. *frustration*
Do I like her? Do I hate her?
I can't decide. The fight is too fricking long so I can never bring myself to do it a second time in the same playthrough if something goes wrong. And something always goes wrong <.<
But at least she's dangerous unlike a certain pride demon that's suppose to be the toughest boss of the game *scoff*
