This collection of simple .utm modifications restores 11 items -- 2 of which have separate lore entries -- that were cut from the final release of the game, but can still be obtained via custom .uti scripts.

The mod assigns the items to various vendors over the course of Acts I-III. My policy was to keep it as balanced and in line with designers' original intent as possible. Luckily, it is usually clear which item belongs to which Act, in developers' opinion -- consulting the .uti filename does the trick, and, of course, there is also an inherent item level that can be checked via gffeditor.

In two special cases, I have opted to overrule the filename/level indications by assigning both Architect's Legacy and Father's Hand to Nexus Golem in Act II. These items are way too strong for regular town vendors, and obviously should not be available at the very start of the Act. On the other hand, they are worthless in Act III, so Act II Nexus Golem looks like a reasonable compromise.

NB! Prices listed have nothing to do with my modding -- those are preset prices for these items. In fact, I happen to think they are adequate.

List of items restored:

1. Qunari War Boots (Act I, Hightown - Olaf's, 2g 8s 95c).

Image IPB

2. Reforged Hossberg Twainer (Act I, Hightown - Korval's, 6g 38s).

Image IPB

3. Architect's Legacy (Act II, Nexus Golem, 11g 34s).

Image IPB

4. Shadow's Reach (Act II, Gallows - Mage Goods, 9g).

Image IPB

5. The Father's Hand (Act II, Nexus Golem, 3 g 97s 66c).

Image IPB

6. Blackfeather Boots (Act III, Bonny Lem's, 12g 64s 20c).

Image IPB

7. Boots of Free Marching (Act III, Docks - Shady Merchant, 3g 77s 37c).

Image IPB

8. Disciple's Blade (Act III, Hightown - Korval's, 8g 19s).

Image IPB

9. Smooth Rasp (Act III, Lowtown - Weaponsmith, 7g 28s 72c).

Image IPB

10. The Sylvan's Heart (Act III, Sundermount - Ilen, 11g 93s 20c).

Image IPB

11. Vigilance (Act III, Lowtown - Lirene's, 30g 72s).

Image IPB

Download the mod. Extract the contents into the /override folder. It is important to note the .utm files will be overridden whenever the Act is initialized, i. e., if you have already started Act X, you won't be able to acquire any of the items listed for that specific Act above.

Interesting, I smell some cut quests :D .

Btw, you could start putting your mods in a Project or on Dragon Age Nexus, so they don't get lost in the forums.

They won't ;) I'll make an x-post to the modding forum, and probably start a project for them, too.

Vigilance? one thing its overpowered other assuming Warden commander is alive how could you get your hands on it ? no chance he would sell it.
Increase its cost at least, 200g wouldnt be overkill for it

I don't know about you, but one of my Awakening epilogue cards stated that the sword was stolen from my Warden, possibly by the Antivan Crows.  So, since the Crows get around a lot, it's not impossible that the sword would end up in Kirkwall.

Overpowered? :D It looks cool, sure enough. Otherwise, it's the fourth best two-hander in the game. Not overly impressive, huh? The third best, Sundering, is ~38 g, so ~31 g for Vigilance looks totally adequate.

It ignroes armor what makes as good as elemental weapons (Apart from weaknes) and is stronger then unfixed sundering. what are the other 2 stronger? bloom ? and ?

(Special note elemental weapons are overpowered due to the armor ignore nature and being buffable by %elemental that have much higher % then physical - they should have reduced base damage to compensate)

The Celeblrant is an awesome two-hander. I don't think it's #1, but it's up there (ahead of Vigilance, I think).

Its questionable whatever bloom is stronger - only iff you use primal lyrium.

No, it does not make it as strong as elemental weapon, for a number of reasons: (1) the soft cap on +X% physical damage is significantly lower than the soft cap on +X% elemental damage -- there can be no argument regarding this point, the item properties are just coded that way, sorry; (2) elemental damage either triggers additional effects (cold freezes; electricity drains stamina/stuns) or has special properties (spirit halves damage resistance, which is great on NM); (3) elemental weaknesses.

As to your question regarding the best two-handers: 1. The Celebrant (Templar/Reaver); 2. Bloom (Berserker/Reaver); 3. Sundering (Berserker/Reaver). Some people will advocate Bloom > Celebrant; I agree that depends on a Hawke build/party composition somewhat.

Heh, ninja'd, I was replying to your older comment :) Anyway, Vigilance at least makes physical builds comparable to the elemental ones end-game, considering the fact Vigilance wielder won't be forced to equip mage gear/accessories.

Lore wise actually in the Awakening epilogue it sais that the sword disappeared/got lost, so it's not too much of a stretch (since DA2 is going on mostly after DAO/DAA).

Techless one here....

I do not comprehend what the mod actually does other than make all twelve items available in a single session. As one that played a Mage using the Chasind Belt, I am guessing that all were not available before this? Or do these new items lvl with the PC?

Thanks for any helpful clarification!

These items are in the game files, but they can't be found anywhere in the game without this or using the game console.

But I have used the Belt of the Chasind, as my Mage wore it for a major portion of the game. Perhaps they were meant to be a lucky draw?

It's for those who do not wish to ruin the experience by 'cheating' the desired item into their inventory using scripts. I did not alter the items in any way, just assigned them to vendors trying to keep it as balanced and logical as possible (e. g., The Sylvan's Heart is sold by Ilen; Vigilance can be acquired at Lirene's, etc.).

Belt of the Chastened? Where did you acquire it? I'm not a mage player, and since I could not find any information regarding the belt, either on the wiki or in the Official Strategy Guide, I assumed this item was cut. I could be wrong, of course. In that case, either update the wiki yourself, or give me more info :)

I did not cheat the items, yet used the Belt for almost the entire game.

I did use a gold cheat though, to avoid shopping issues. Could one cheat affect others?

Any chance it was auto-gained at the start of an Act?

No, of course not :)

Yes, definitely. I'll need to roll a mage to see if that's the case, I suppose...

Could you possibly take a screenshot of Vigilance? I can't use any of this cool stuff anyways (console heathen here), but I'd like to see what it looks like.

I really need you to be more specific about it. Can you check your item chest, please?

Looks like overgrown Glandivalis, in my opinion. But a lot of people seem to like the model.

Based on a scan, I may be getting the effects confused with another staff that begins with an 'A'. But I had the belt from at least 15th all the way to 25th.
