My renegade is another matter, since body count is what I go for more than anything else.

Clearly how? Can you recognize signs of indoctrination? Do you have any support for the position that the past rachni were indoctrinated?Vicious wrote...
Exterminating them is just stupid and dickish. They were clearly under Reaper control the first time around. Does that mean they are susceptible? Sure, but so is everyone.
Moreover, what proof do you have that indoctrination even exists? Have you been to Virmire? Otherwise, why believe in Indoctrination as opposed to the self-defense of a few traitors and criminals?
Without meaning any disrespect whatsoever, did you do the mission on the derelict Reaper where the Cerberus science team most likely was all turned into husks? That's indoctrination--after this mission, there is a passage about it in the codex. Why wouldn't indoctrination be put there if it didn't exist? It isn't listed as a myth, either. Why can't the drones be indoctrinated? And if the drones are indoctrinated, why couldn't they bring an indoctrination device to the queen, to which she wouldn't realize until it's too late?their greatest strength is also their greatest weakness, but the kicker is that the surviving Queen KNOWS what indoctrination is, and how to avoid it. [hint, keep Queen away from anything Reaper-based.] as long as the Queen is safe and secure, the drones are completely incorruptible and can lay waste to pretty much anything.
Or do they just like Shepard? The rachni can apparently share memories. Depending on of course, how they were raised would definitely impact their obedience (or lack thereof when considering what happened on Noveria since they were separated from their mother before she could control them). It is possible, I think, that if a Reaper got its claws, tentacles, hands, whatever onto a rachni drone with an indoctrination device that they could again be controlled. But that's a risk you can take. As I always like to think, making friends isn't always a bad thing. I'm very interested to see what will happen with the rachni--good or bad.
And if you spare them, they like humans. Score!
You're right; they like Shepard because he did them a favor. They don't know humans--they didn't get a hold of Shepard to share his experiences and bond minds or whatever. But one more potential ally in a war against machines that have created 90% of the technology all organics currently use is better than minus one.

Enjoy the collapse of ecosystems worldwide then. Though, if it makes you feel better, they do all die eventually. Just not all at once.
