Is that the design for ME3? I kinda like the blue and the Alliance symbols..... but if it is, Im not a Spectre or Alliance anymore. I hope it's customizable.

Hmm...Its great that they're finally releasing a model of the Normandy, but is anyone else worried that because of this, we won't get a model in the Collectors edition of ME3?

And on another note, the grid lines all over the ship are fugly. Hope they fix that before release.

We could still get a miniature for the CE. But one that size for free? Imagine the price BW/EA would have to pay and the size of the case!

I think the October date is listed as a release date in terms of the model itself. Its just poorly worded in the article.

I don't think size is really an issue. The CE for Halo 3 and Reach were huge. And besides, this model isn't even that big, only 6 1/4 inches long. And at $34, I'd say its a tad overpriced.

Eh the paneling doesn't really look all that good. As for the logo not much a fan of it either and I don't really like the white on the inner nacelles. But other than that not looking too bad.

I don't know about you guys, but I hope it isn't the model of the Normandy we are going to use in Mass Effect 3. The problem isn't with the color scheme, but rather with those "black lines" all over the ship.

I don't think I would get used to that Normandy.

I wonder... would EDI be a bit jaded after the Alliance was picking apart her "body"? Would they give her the same respect as a sapient being that Shepard can potentially give her while they picked the Normandy apart?

That is actually a good question. On one side of things, the Alliance has actually been pretty active with AI research until fairly recently. They only stopped as a political deal during the Anderson=specter fiasco.

On the other hand AI is extremely illegal in council space, and depending on what happened between 1 and 2 the Alliance might not be able to afford the political hell that would cause if it got out that the Alliance has a full blown, unshackled AI without shutting it down. (Plus the incident on Luna....)

I hear ya, I don't have a problem with the colour scheme myself but those god awful black lines segmenting the hull are crappy.  I am hoping that the lines are "noticable" because it is a model.  I have often noted with replica models that they tend to accentuate certain details.

I think that's just due to the fact that it's a model.  They probably over-did the hull seams along the fuselage.
