Well I guess that gives away that we'll be working for the Alliance based on the markings. My dreams of being my own boss is crushed. Crushed I say. *sniffle*

i look forward to inspections and getting grounded already

What's with the strange grid like lines all over the thing?

I think they were trying to capture the paneling of the ship and did it extremely poorly.

No, it just looks to me the Normandy has been upgraded with additional heavy armor plating is all. The panels probebly bolt onto the original hull and make the Normandy more durable in a stand up fight with Reapers then the uppraded armor from ME2 is. Yes, it doesn't look pretty, but the Alliance likely was more concerned with function then form.

That kinda clashes with the statement that the Normandy was being stripped and picked apart to get at all the juicy bits that Cerberus could make and the Alliance couldn't.  The Silaris armor would have been one of them.

The normandy in the first game somehow didn't make it look like the space police, but this does.

Someone on Kotaku earlier was talking about how it looks like the Normandy was put through a meat cutter. Maybe those Alliance dimwits sent the poor ship to the local deli by accident.

Good lord what have they done to my ship...

If this truly is now an Alliance vessel (Which still peeves me to no end) regardless of choices made in ME2, then I expect it to be drastically retrofitted with the removal of several key elements. I also cannot fathom the idea of the Alliance keeping EDI aboard the ship, AI's are considered dangerous if not illegal tech by the Alliance and on top of that it was originally Cerberus technology.

Here's hoping choices in ME2 allow for either an Alliance or Cerberus Shepard play through to appease both parties...

I don't know what to make of the new Normandy. I'm happy that they haven't altered teh exterior of the SR-2 since I loved that overall shape and design. As for the color scheme, blue works better on a piece of military hardware than yellow/gold ever did, I'm also glad that we've lost the Cerebus logos ( why would an organisation with Cerebus' reputation put the company logo on all thier stuff anyway ). I'm still not happy about all the white bits, silver of metalic grey would have worked better. I also hate the way the way the exterior of the new SR-2 seems to be divided into segments, it looks ugly and gaudy, maybe it's more noticeable on the model than it will be in the game ( and yes I know that the SR-1 and the ME2 SR-2 had those verticle lines on the exterior as well, it just wasn't that noticeable ).

It was also said that there are additions and changes to the ship. It's obvious that the hull plating on the main hull has been changed. And why change it if not to upgrade or addon. the fact that the Alliance took a gander at the Solaris armor doesn't degate this fact.

Why is it blue? Did darkhorse even play ME2?

SR2 = Orange, Black and White

FAIL

You din't see the alliance symble on the side of the ship? And this is the ME3 version, the one which the Allianve takes the ship and refits it.

Good, paragon colors. As it should be. Cerberus colors sucked (white and orange bleh!) and the old colors were... ok. But this looks great.

I think overall it looks good, and since I won't be looking at the outside of it all that much I can deal with it. I would definitely rather have a black ship with blue and white patterns, instead of white as the main color, though.

Did you miss the word "new" in the title?

When it said "new" I didn't take it into context that is was THE new Normandy; thought it just meant that it was a new product.

If its refitted by the alliance I take it that shepard got re-instated? Lol, what on earth has the ME writiing script gotten into.

-"Shepard's KIA"
-*2 years later*
-"I hear Rumors about Shepard"
-"Yeah, Cerberus resurrected him"
-"Ok, cool, lets reinstate him"
-" Did I mention Cerberus...."
-"Don't worry, its K"

To all you anti-Alliance people who are worried about the Alliance branding, Shepard is still a Spectre(or can be depending on what you said in ME2) so it's not like you'll be taking all your orders from the Alliance.
