Ok now we are just going in circles. The Quarians thought the Geth were not sapient at the time so they felt there was nothing immoral about shutting them off. Also you keep using the words "attack", "kill", and "destroy". They weren't coming at the Geth with machine guns and machetes. They were trying to turn them off. No different than uplugging a toaster.higherice wrote...

They didnt see it as genocide then. The Geth wern't sentient yet.
If they weren't sapient then it wouldn't be killing in the first place. It would be no more immoral than shutting down your computer.
Also the Quarians wouldn't exactly have alot of time to discuss the moral implications of the newely sapient Geth as they were kinda busy trying to not get murdered.
I'm pretty sure they did. They realized that creating a race of illegal and possibly dangerous AIs was probably a really bad idea and tried to nip it in the bud before they became sapient. It was akin to an abortion than outright murder.
What was so great about Tali?

Tali always kinda annoyed me tbh, found her a bit whiny.
Tali is probably one of the least whiny character! She talks about her pilgrimage and life on the flotilla in ME1, and then in ME2 she...still basically just talks about the flotilla. I mean...she was UPSET when she almost got exiled, and she points out that not having a homeworld kind of sucks....but I really would not countt that as whining! Geez louise.

The lack of violence in the act does not change its immorality, killing a sentient being is killing a sentient being, no matter how you do it. And just because the quarians may not of known that 100% of all the geth were sentient does not excuse them.Dr. Nexas wrote...

She mentions once that it's quiet and makes it kinda hard to sleep and then in the next convo says she's used to it.

Then you must have spoken to her repeatedly before completing another plot mission.

But I mean, in ME1 she was a walking codex for the Quarian race (don't even try to argue that one), and in ME2 she was all crazy with the hormones and advances.
Love the kid, but as a friend and original squadmember. She'll always be in my crew...but I just dont see her as the godess that people make her out to be.

but what i dont get is her context in the story. it makes no sense. why does shepard pick up a random quarian on a pilgrimage who has no combat training.is a member of a species who can get serious infections from minor suit ruptures. is a huge liability on the battlefield. plus she's super young and completely inexperienced.
Wrex is a badass krogan merc, that makes sense, some pure brute force.
Garrus is a crafty ex-cop and is a combat expert.
Tali is good with machines? and is naive enough to walk into a PAINFULLY obvious trap.

She might not have combat experience, but she sure can blow salarians to high hell with her tech mines.
