Anybody else having trouble unlocking Duelist when playing as a human rogue. I beat Isabella in the card game and she taught me how to become a duelist. I had to wait until I leveled up to specialize and once I had ( I had already left the Pearl), duelist was no longer unlocked. Whenever I return to the Pearl, Isabella is gone.
Anyone else have this problem? I can't find a book for learning Duelist either, so it seems like this character is screwed this time around.

Same here. Isabella trained me to be a duelists, but it did not unlock the specialization.

It may be a little too obvious but tis' always worth a shot in case it's something overlooked,..
Do you have specialisation points when you level up? These the points you acquire at levels 7 and 14. You'll need at least one to have the option of investing in a specialisation.

Only skill I have had trouble unlocking has been bloodmage, but I guess I need to send Morigan in to battle the Fade Demon instead of Wyne. I think the best thing for you to do is to start over if you want to use duelist or try to go back after a major sequence in the game has elapsed.

no issues with any specs, but you do need a point to show they are unlocked.
and rtype you need to run a PC mage into the Fade to unlock Blood Mage.

i think it'll be better to show the unlocked specializations on the character sheet, instead of waiting for a level up.
but i doubt they'll add a patch for that....
it's probably a lag issue that's present in the PS3 version, where the loot will appear several minutes after a mob is killed.
To play it safe, unlock the spec, then wait around for a few minutes for PS3 to digest that information....
to unlock blood mage, you've to play as mage and convince the demon to teach you. can't do that with other party members.

If you unlock Duelist, and you have the specialization point available, you can use it immediately by pressing the "Level up" button: It will take you to the Specialization screen.
It worked for me anyways...
