During almost every game session the sound initially works normally then goes completely silent later in the session.  I have noticed no particular triggering event, as the sound has quit in a variety of situations.  I have to save, quit and restart the game to restore the sound.  My system is a Dell XPS with Windows XP Pro.  The audio driver is the latest from Creative.  I have not had this problem in any other game.
