Wii Sports Arcturus.

I'd buy a Wii just for that.

Personally, I don't want a MMORPG. Massive time investments.

Something like a squad command game would be good. Could fight some pirates and mecenaries.

I'm down for a RTS set during the Rachni Wars.

Sequel?

The Krogan Rebellions.

As a guy who doesn't much care for the MMO or RTS genres, I'm kind of screwed. It's going to be one or the other.

rts or a legit fps game. i prefer the fps. and no, CoD is not a "legit" fps, thats not the fps we r looking for.

and maybe action/adventure like a spaceversion of that drake game. basically like firefly.

I would like something with space combat, like a space fighter simulator like Freespace 2 but more modern.

It can even take place during the existing Mass effect game's timelines, but detailing the space combat side of the universe more, perhaps as a fighter pilot(space fighter game), or a fleet commander(RTS type of game). Either way sounds cool to me.

Mass Effect: Fleets, or some such:)

MMO or
RTS or
TPS/RPG with ability to choose your race and that happens during or before ME1

For RTS we could have a lot of campaigns: First Contact War, Rachni Wars , Krogan Rebellions, Quarian vs Geth War for Homeworld.

Or we could have a pure TPS about a solider sent on big missions as a leader of a whole squad to deal with tense situations ala SWAT 4. You could have multiple campaigns with soldiers from different races.

Well personally I've always been a sucker for the oldschool Pseudo-realistic space flight sim shooters - Xwing, Tie Fighter, X-Wing Versus Tie Fighter, Wing Commander, FreeSpace etc. There were even a few "bridge battle" games of this ilk as well, mostly Star Trek tie-ins/take-offs.

If you gave me one of these bridge battle games on an alliance or turian cruiser, fighting wars in space with ME technology, I'd be a pig in heaven. Especially if you ALSO had the ability to play as a fighter in it.

Actually that's the idea!

Big multiplayer space battles where some players command the cruisers and frigates, some players run just systems on the big ships (like say a few people operating turrets for maximum efficiency etc), some players flying around in fighters either screening agains other fighters or diving against cruisers, and some players in traditional ME soldier gameplay trying to board the cruisers and take over - ALL AT THE SAME TIME.

That would be heaven.

If not that though then one of these other ideas:

Citadel Styles - You play a Turian fascinated with the idea of human hair, becoming the world's best stylist. Using your Wii-Mote, stylus, mouse or PS3 pointer you cut various customer's hair occasionally you dye an asari's tentacle hair, manicure a Krogan's skull plate, practice yoga with your Salarian roomate or polish a Volus' exosuit. Characters gossip while you do this, and like Crazy Taxi you get more cash for completing styling requests as quickly as possible while you keep tapping a "active listener button" in pace with the cutomer's conversation.

Crazy SPACE Taxi - Taking the Shadow Broker DLC code that already exists, you fly one one of those transporst around 3 maps, the Citadel, Illium and the Palaven, picking up fares. It's exaclty like Crazy  Taxi, except your car is a flying car, so I guess it's more like the 5th Element . . . Taxi. Different fares like diffrent "bonuses" - Krogans actually like it when you hit other cars, Asari enjoy a stylish stunt, Salariuns favor the fastest possible route, Turians that you actually obey the law. It's pure arcade fun!

Dance Dance Shepard Lution - All the Mass Effect Core characters some together to try and teach Shepard to dance. Using the game's best tunes and remixes of them, the user hooks up their connect and Dance Centrals throug hthe various nightclubs with Shepard as your backup dancer, trying to follow along. The better you do, the better Shepard learns. Eventually he has to compete on his own in a dance off, so you best have trained your Shepard well! Combines DDR rythym fun with virtual pet simulation!

 . . . Yes . . . plausible games .  . .:police:

FPS/RPG would be really cool, sorta like Deus Ex.

Or an RTS..

Or an MMO..

But mostly a FPS/RPG. :wizard:

I'd be happy with an RTS, but I think that there would be lots of possibility for a more freeroam style RPG, with a selection of races and lots of side quests etc. (I could go into a bit more of a detailed idea for that but I cba, I already went into quite some detail in another thread about 2 days go).

As for an MMO... I'd be torn in all honesty, although I can imagine it been some fun, been forced to play with other players is something thats come to annoy me due to playing MMOs and they are often just way too time consuming. Many of them make you feel compelled to play, instead of just letting you pick it up whenever you feel like it.

An FPS would be something that I could cope with, but I cant say I want to see it... It would be fine as long as they stuck to the current formula, as in talking to people and having the ability to just roam around, I would hate to see the Mass Effect universe thrown into a Call of Duty style linear game where theres only one direction to go in with a few levels that you go through with no options. (E.g. Level 1 - go forwards to somewhere, advance to level 2 etc.)

FPS/RPG hybrids:

1) Playing as Turian/Asari Spectre..set before the events of ME1.
2) Playing as Wrex before the events of ME1.

Mass Effect:  Noir.  We know the future Mass Effect games are all going to be all about a conflict between the multi-racial corporations and the Council.  Noir seems to be be the best fit for that kind of story.

Here's my evidence:
