I haven't taken a stab at the toolset yet, but I thought of something that might deter me from doing mods. The campaign has no written dialogue, it's all voice over work. Am I supposed to do voice overs myself for every character I have in my mod or will all user created stuff have text instead of speech?

You can enable subtitles in the game options, if that's what you mean.

It can auto-generate the VO work in computer voice if you don't want to do your own, or you can have it be text-only.

Ahh nice. I was going to suggest Bioware put in a text to speech thingy but I see they did already, How good is the built in voice?

Or you can ask the volunteers of the Voice Actors guild to record selected lines for your module.

There's a text-to-speech function? That's pretty neat! I imagine Bioware used it for preliminary lip-synching.

The built in voice is as good as you would expect it to be....not good. Either do your own VO, or use text. The built in is for lipsyncing and testing only..you wouldn't wanna put that in game.

It would actually be kind of funny - like a futuristic module! :-)
