Rally says it does the following: 

The warrior rallies fellow combatants, briefly boosting other party members' mana or stamina regeneration rates and lending them the benefits of Might, Control, Turn the Blade, or Elemental Aegis if the warrior currently has one of those sustained modes active.

But the four of them are not all mutually exclusive.

• Might can't be on at the same time as Control
• Control can't be on at the same time as Might
• Turn the Blade can't be on at the same time as Elemental Aegis
• Elemental Aegis can't be on at the same time as Turn the Blade

So if you had, say, Might and Turn the Blade, would you share both bonuses? The descriptions suggests you can only share one ("A, B, C or D"), but says nothing about how the game would decide which.

it shares which ever pair you choose to have on.

I believe you can still trick the game and add both of each at the same time, at least with might/control you can.
I don't but you could if you wanted to.

I would take Might on all fights except boss fights if you desperately need the hit chance. I would also take Elemental Aegis because defense is largely useless. I wouldn't even spec for it since the end of the Defender tree isn't all the impressive and you can take Ele Aegis right off the bat.

If you plan on playing on nightmare, Elemental Aegis is pretty much required if you plan on having a mage outside of Primal spec.

+20 fortitude is pretty nice though

Thankfully Aveline doesn't require fortitude.
