You make a good point.
I want to see a female krogan making some waves. It seems Wrex was inspired by Ashley, so some female Urdnot out there giving combat some "flavour" should not be out of the question

They might be light on ME3 content, but should put at least parts of the fan base at ease...
Oh and Alberto - please come back to Merseyside.
We miss you

I like seeing new races and such (especially drell, they is awesome), but I would much prefer to see both genders of each race. It damages immersion to think that species that number in the billions and span the galaxy don't have any women? so they have to go back to their homeworlds to mate? and, we are going to most of the homeworlds in ME3, so it's inexcusable (even for the krogan). They haven't said anything either way on the inclusion of females in ME3... but i really hope so
Indeed. Showing more alien races, or reusing one that we've seen only once (yagh) is one thing, that I'd like. But before that happens, they should show the missing female ones. Especially Turian females should be somewhat common. And while female Salarian or Krogan are rarer, once you visit their homeworlds, there are enough opportunities to meet them.

I hope to see more about the lesser important species in the game. Maybe one day we'll see an elcor walking and actually doing something...
You can see an elcor walking in the Presidium.
Go to the human embassy and look.

Being a fan of the Bard, I would loooove to see the Elcor play. At least some choice highlights.
We know London is being invaded. How about their attack interrupting the galaxy premier of the Elcor Midsummer Night's Dream.
"With a slight panic - Nay, faith, let me not play a woman. I have a beard coming."
A reaper ship crushes the Globe theatre.
"With horror - Oh crap"

Absolutely fantastic videos, I can't express how happy I am that BioWare is moving more into this side of advertising, it's incredibly smart, and the IP deserves this level of respect to the artists, Bravo BioWare!
I'm hoping they include them all in the Collector's Edition.
Indeed, this is precisely the sort of stuff that belongs in the collector's edition
Agreed. Making of's are sadly underutilized by the games industry currently, a game like ME3 would be perfect for one. For a whole host of featurettes in fact. I know they are planning a big uber collectors set for the third game's release, but should they be doing a 'normal' collector's edition I would love to see one put out that is similar to what we would expect from a special edition of a concluding FILM in a trilogy. Interviews with the team, behind the scenes, retrospective stuff, looking ahead stuff. Unlike a complete directors/cast commentary that stuff seems very possible to me and I for one would love to see it.

Guess that's why I get so miffed when certain people can't stop complaining about some (or every, gah) aspect they particularly disagree with.

I strongly suspect both Salarian and Turian females will be in ME3. We've seen the (a?) female design for Turians in ME: Evolution. It wouldn't involve too much more than a headswap, really. I think it would be hilarious if female Krogan looked (maybe even sounded) just like the males!
I really liked the designer talking about Batarian design. They had something more non-human, but it needed to fit the combat skeleton, so they squished it into the proper dimensions. Ha! I always thought they looked a little too human - now I know why!

Man.. never knew krogans were based off bats though. I've always thought they were frog-turtle-men.
They haven't said much on females, although they did talk about it in one of the previous vids. It sounds like females will feature in ME3, along with some other new races.

Probably something completely new, like the vorcha or the yahg.

I know there have been some things that have been designed and built that have not been in Mass Effect 1 and 2.
Am I the only one that thought maybe he was talking about the much requested females as opposed to (or in addition to) entirely new species?

I think this is the best way to get new fans to the series, is presenting Mass Effect for what it is, a massive collaboration of artists
Totally agreed. As a recent convert, it saddens me to read implications that this isn't the sort of thing BioWare had been doing since the start of the series. It really pulls me in to the point that if I hadn't already been 'irreversably contaminated', these videos would have done the trick. Major props to Game Informer as well; they seem to have really made a name for themselves lately.
I wonder if there will be another 'Sy versus Fy' for Mass Effect 3. I enjoyed watching the one for ME2 many months before I got the games, big-time science fiction fan as I am. But I don't think the network has made any of those in a while, so the odds are... slim.
