I am too, and it really isn't fair to his character either. I genuinely like Jacob - he's probably my favorite of all the human party members. People seem to bash him because he doesn't have any angst or drama going on. It's pretty sad when the upfront decent guy with his head screwed on straight and no backstory steeped in tragedy is called boring. I guess all the people that have lead, for the most part, happy and healthy lives are just totally uninteresting...

Unfortunately for Jacob, I never use the human characters when I play. My main character is as much human as I need in the group when there are so many alien characters to choose from. 

Legion - one of my favorites because it's exactly what I'd hoped for with the Geth, that it wouldn't be so black and white because it shouldn't be. 
Garrus - probably shouldn't put him in there, seeing as he's confirmed now, but I can't help myself because he's my favorite.
Wrex - I love his character probably more than any other in the franchise, in large part because he's one of the most mature (and older), intelligent characters. For all his brutish bad assery, he's got a great sense of dry humor and a sharp grasp for complexity in any given situation.

I'd love to put Tali in there, because she's a sweetheart, but I must pick and choose and when it comes down to it, those are probably my top three.
