The Two Handed warrior is actually quite weak and I was suprised the rogue class was stronger.

I even posted three videos on page 6. Each of the three different classes. The rogue and mage defeat the arishok quick and even do more damage while the vanguard who uses reaver, offensive potion, cleave and berserker, doesn't do any damage.
I've proved my opinion with these videos. They prove their opinion with only another opinion just like you do.

So, as you see, they have said nothing wrong. The demo was different from the full game, it is only that you, as others, interpreted it in another way and was astonished on seeing the prologue the same (because naturally 1 + 1 = 4).
Then you continue repeating the same things as a broken record, probably thinking that if you repeat them enough they will become true just by sheer boredom (oh, well, in a sense it's working, I must admit).

The mage and rogue are more stronger. Even when using the abilities you suggested. Your 2 handed warrior is still weak despite being a vanguard using berzerker skills and the offensive potion.

Yeah, that's the image that he originally posted but then removed it after editing his post and thanks for the videos. They prove my point further more. Those idiots can't really argue against them but you know they will say that the 2 hander wasn't built correctly and was just a bad build. It's kind of hard to follow all this quote within a quote bull****, its like ****ing Inception or something... Anyway my 2 cents. I haven't played through as a rogue yet but my warrior had FAR more auto attack damage than my mage. With my warrior i was hitting Meredith in the final battle for anywhere from 260-1200 auto attack and swinging stupid fast depending on what cooldowns were up and how much health i had at the time. Averaging around 550 with just cleave up. This is with Celebrant, she's weak to spirit. I was basically using the mach 5 massacre build.
Arishok is a horrible battle for a warrior and the reason your damage looks so pitiful on that fight is because the Arishok has stupid ammounts of armor. Switch to an elemental weapon and you'll notice a huge improvment.
I may be missunderstanding here but the OP seems to be insisting that the warrior is underpowered because a suboptimal built warrior does less damage than a suboptimal rogue and mage? That's rubbish, a warrior is more exposed to melee damage and has a higher chance of getting caught in a companions aoe, but certainly doesn't lack in damage at all.
If you're havin warrior problems I feel bad for you son. I got 99 problems DPS ain't one.

Your videos prove nothing at all. It is just nonsense. You take three classes singularily only judging the damage they do in a specific context, but this is not how gameplay works and how classes are to be compared. You ignore all the other terms of comparisions.
A gameplay is not done only by raw numbers. What counts is the way the class works in synergy with the others. Warriors can dish and take damage, no other class can if not doing specific builds or acquiring specific apparels. 2Handed are adept at doing medium damage with medium AoE capabilities.
You don't take in consideration party sinergy, you just focus on a single mechanic discarding all the rest. This is NOT the Witcher, IT IS A PARTY BASED GAME.

Again, strength increases damage by 0.5 per point after 10. This is how it works for EVERY class. Do you understand it? It is simple.
It is a percentual, you genius. It is obvious that if the base damage of the weapon is less the total damage is less, this doesn't change the fact that the bonus given by strength is the same.

OMG, OMG.
Warriors do more damage from base attacks than mages in an AoE. Do you understand the concept of party mechanics? Mages do more damage in an AoE from abilities (and not all, it depends) but their auto attacks are only single target and the lower damaging of those. 2handers does medium AoE from base attacks and AoE abilities.
Focuses: Rogue = largee single target attacks and large single target abilities. Mage = weak single target attacks and large AoE abilities. 2h Warrior = medium AoE attacks and medium AoE abilities.
This is sinergy. Not one of those do the same thing as another. They specialize in their respective fields. You ignore this and compare one in the field of the other.
It would be like comparing a Ferrari to a Fiat (for example, not for the speficic gap) without taking in consideration price and type of market. It would be idiotic as it is idiotic your argument.

The others "quotes" you posted were comments of users from the DEMO (that has only the prologue, a part the 2hander has some drawbacks for various motives). So the context was different and it doesn't make text. Also a rogue is much weaker in the prologue than it is later, does that mean that rogues are weak?
The only real quote that could be taken as a proof of something was the one of the dev. A shame that, again, it did prove all the contrary of what you wanted the quote to say.

Again, IT IS A PARTY BASED GAME. IT IS NONSENSE JUDGING A class IN COMPARISION TO ANOTHER IN NUMBERS BECAUSE IT DOESN'T TAKE IN CONSIDERATION THE VALUE OF THE class IN SYNERGY TO THE OTHERS. More, the video of your "proof" is a fight with an enemy that has high armor and you have no elemental weapons, you cannot chain abilities because there are no enemies to kill (and warriors regen stamina via kills) and you have not a party to buff you (that's more important for the damage of a warrior), etc..
Rogues regen stamina via attacks (so they can chain abilities in that fight), they do large damage to a single target by themselves both via attacks and via abilities, so they are at their best in a 1 vs 1 situation, and are less in need of a party. Why don't you try fighting that duel with a rogue without kiting? Let's see your "comparision" how it will work out, want we?
Mages have abilities, instead, that can slow/stop the Arishok. This makes the fight much easier. Also here, try another build with a mage, without CC and without elemental weakenesses. Use a physical staff and not CC and let's see how you will behave there, want we?

Well the morning I have some spare time so it's amusing sometimes to see how an individual can go lower and lower just to try to have a point that's not there.
So you see that individual posting spam, using multiple accounts to back-up his point, and all the silly things you are accustomed to see in this case; and the funny thing is that, usually, that individual either think he looks "good" doing it.
You have to agree that apart for all the rest, this part is indeed quite amusing. It is like watching someone in quicksand desperately moving trying to exit, actually worsening the situation all the time.
Well this is getting a bit heated isn't it, wish it wasn't because I do think it is an interesting debate worthy of discussion and wouldn't like it to be locked so i'll lay out my own case in a calm logical manner and see if it garners any support from what are by the posts i've seen on both sides obviously intelligent if passionate people.
Yes the two hander does fit well into a party build and though specialising in the endless waves of awesome can go toe to toe with the bosses if used intelligently however I have a problem with a weapon the size and mass of the two handers in the game doing less damage than the twin daggers of the rogue.
You see my idea of the rogue which probably stems from my tabletop experience is of a situational combat specialist who enters combat having allready won through the use of stealth scouting, traps and various other under handed methods and distracts, disables then assassinates their targets with massive damage due to the foe not being in any shape to react not by doing the highest damage in toe to toe combat.
Now perhaps it's just that DA2 is simply not the game for me and i'll admit that i'm not particularly impressed with the thing but thinking of solutions to my percieved problems with the game I would say make dual weilding take over the greatswords role in the warrior spec (because weilding two blades requires a lot of training and obviously would be able to hit more people in an area of effect) and make a new heavy hitting slightly slower role for the two hander to cleave through armour as they were meant to function historically.
This leaves the rogue without a close combat weapon however so I would give them a one handed sword as duellists actually used such as Aveline is seen weilding in her introduction, not only would this reflect the quicker, flashier style of combat that a rogue would use with a free hand to throw smoke bombs, throwing knives what have you but it would also open up the class to using sabres, rapiers and such that rely on lightning quick thrusts and cuts to unarmoured weak points and such.
This could also give the rogue access to blackjacks/billy clubs for stealth incapacitations and single daggers for throat slitting and backstabs. Anyway I doubt any of this would get a green light with the devs but I thought it was worth throwing my ramblings into the mix, if you feel these would hinder the game and i'm expecting too much or that they wouldn't fit with the style of combat feel free to say as i'm open to reasoned criticism.
Or maybe i'm just to much of a barbarian and at the heart of it all I just want my big mighty phallic symbol back.

They estabilished a concept and developed it to create a synergy between party members. "Realism" matters little, in a game as DA2. You could prefer that a 2handed warrior would play in another way, within a different context, arising from a different theoric concept of the class, but the matter of fact is that given the particular context the game plays with, the way the class is developed makes perfect sense.
For example they could have switched things, making the rogue more an utility class, 2hander the single target damager with little AoE, 1handed the defender with little offensive capabilities, etc. However, in this case, some other people could have complained for yet other motives, for example because they would prefer rogues to be an high DPS class, or tanks not be forced on defensive roles, or many other different things.
The truth of the matter is that you cannot please everyone, as you cannot concept characters only within a role not taking care of the synergy between the other ones in a party based cRPG. You must go in a direction and balance the game within that context, and the context of a party based system means balancing the classes one in respect to the others, till they work well in a group, either against their "singular" roles or the "realism" of them, or the general consensus about them about their theoric roles.
For a single character game, as The Witcher, this context is more ample because you have not to take care of the balance inside the party, so every build can include multiple aspects and be built with much more freedom and either adhere to different roles, or none at all (and only created by the player, as it happens with Bethesda games, for example).
The balance has only to take care of the environment, so a "class" can either be completely unbalanced (in concept) in respect to another, or do the same things as another, having mutliple aspects inside it (so as to please different people), it doesn't really matter. Everyone can be pleased. You can for example have a 2hander that does medium AoE damage as you can have a 2hander doing high damage to a single target, all within the same class. This is impossible for a party based RPG because the balance is created around the concept and if that concept changes everything changes.
In a party based RPG the group must act as a single character, where every class represents an aspect of it, and the balance arises from those aspects working nicely togheter. So you must go in a direction and only care that this particular direction works fine togheter. The rest is secondary. It can be a matter of theoric debate whetever you would prefer a thing in respect to another, fine, but the only thing that really matters, the only thing that's important is: it is the concept of the class working in a balanced way in respect to the others when taken as a group?
If this part is achieved (and it is achieved in DA2) the rest is just individual preference, that however has little to do with the reality of the situation. If however one insisst that A is not balanced then you have to take the context in consideration and not only the singularity of the class because elsewere all your "comparisions" will be faulted from beginning because you completely miss the point from the start.
Yes I can see your point and the party does work as intended by the devs, perhaps I am just being finicky but this is one of the immersion breaking aspects of the game that coupled with all of the other instances soured me on it. I do not expect realism in my fantasy games however I do expect a certain internal consistency and the fact that a huge sword does less damage than a pair of little daggers in a gameworld where big ogres do more damage than a small hurlock jars me out of the gameworld with a bump and leaves me seeing all the joins.
As for fitting in new roles such as I suggested in the party dynamic, I can see no reason why with a bit of jury rigging such changes cannot be made though realistically with the majority of people liking this mmo style combat and it's traditional roles it will never be done but I have to wonder if no dev ever asked themselves the same questions I and Ejid have asked about the damage of a pair of knives versus a zwei hander being somewhat ridiculous.
Anyway as you say for a more logical experience I and others have the Witcher 2 (among others) coming up but it's a pity that a number of long term fan feel divorced from a game that enchanted us with its first iteration. Still as you say if your character doesn't work with the secondary characters then you are playing the game wrong and can't expect it to cater to every playstyle or be reactive to the buyers choices.

Origins was a party based game and it got it right. Also Amioran, you still fail to provide the quotes where I've turned arguments around. You claim "it's all written here" but fail to find the quote because just like all your other "proofs" it doesn't exist little boy.

It doesn't matter if the arishok has good armor. ALL ENEMIES FARE LIKE THAT UP AGAINST THE WARRIOR. Rogues and mages make quick work of all enemies and that includes boss enemies whereas warriors struggle against boss enemies despite weilding heavy swords and hammers which should clearly do more damage than petty kitchen knives.
You wonder why DA2 has poor reception? People have spotted such flaws. Every RPG other than Dragon Age 2, gets it right. Knives are fast but poor in damage. One handed swords are used for medium damage and speed while two handed weapons are used for maxium damage with the sacrifice of speed. If you don't think that's how RPGs should work, then you've only obviously played DA2 and don't understand physics as you claim you do.
Oh and FYI. The warrior was kniting while the rogue only did so a few times. Even the abilities of the warriors didn't do well against the arishok. The point of those videos? Warriors have trouble with all bosses whereas rogues and mages don't. If you think that's balanced then you obviously fail to understand what balanced means in that idiotic brain of yours which fails at reasoning and understand basic things. Yes, it's a party game but classes are meant to be balanced.
You really look like a fool now. I've proven the warrior is a weak class with that video despite the player using your suggested build. The warrior even had that stone potion activated but he still got owned most of the time.
Now post your videos and quotes from the developers or GTFO.
And no Amioran, those videos that my friend posted didn't contain any numbers. You clearly saw who was doing the most damage via the health bar of the arishok. The rogue also used basic attacks and still did more damage than the warrior who used basic attacks.
The warrior took 15 minutes to defeat the arishok. The rogue took 4. Keep thinking the warrior is more powerful if you wish, these videos (like mine) show otherwise.
