I'm looking to start RPing on NWN2 again. So far enjoying a few servers but not decided yet, and NWVault isn't too helpful. If you're looking for players, feel free to suggest your server to me and sell me on it. I don't mind low server populations, but I do like in-depth roleplay, the ability to do quests when no one else is logged in, DM attention, the ability for characters to engage in and create their own plots, etc. I don't mind bugs as long as they're not gamebreaking/frustrating. Cliques, too many bad RPers, too much "oh god the world is going to end portals liches etc" DM events, etc, are huge turn offs.
If I like your server, I can probably bring a few folks with me.
As an example, I am loving Tales of Moonsea, but it's low pop, so I'd like to play somewhere else when no one's logged on.
Looking for a low-magic, heavy roleplay PW.

Sounds like you might also want to consider a DMed campaign in addition to your usual PW options.
Personally, if I were you, I'd give Sea of Dragons and Talernon 3 a try.

Hm, I haven't heard of the first and haven't tried the second. Thanks!
And yeah, a regular DM'd campaign could be nice, but probably wouldn't work with my schedule. Ah well...thank you for your help.

Give Dammendrech a try, I'd say it should meet your requirements. The server population isn't large, but very dedicated. Roleplay comes above all. The setting is unique and low fantasy, based on European folklore, with an aim for more realism instead of high magic and xp-grinding. Players pretty much shape the world and there are lots of player-driven storylines.

Thanks! I'm kind of wary of trying out unique settings (even though I dislike FR) but so long as the lore is easy to access and understand I'll give it a try. Maybe even if it's not.

There's lots of lore on the website, but actually I'd call it still very newbie-friendly, you can just hop in and play to get your feet wet, and other players are usually very helpful and welcoming.

Sea of Dragons is in a bit of a lull, admittedly, due to some RL. To counter that, however, I'm planning on getting a DM campaign or two going on the server for those who are interested in a weekly session there. In this way you could be assured of others being around AND of having DM attention.

Try "Balarand" in the PW Action...very low magic world and very demanding of the builds...

Thanks for the plug NWNDM! Yes, at Talernon we are a heavy RP world, with low magic . . . well, low magic in magical items (+2 items in loot after 15th level, almost never +3), and a slower spell progression for casters, attaining 9th level spells at 25th level and new great magic spells (epic spells) at 28th - check us out at http://worldoftalernon.com

Sea of Dragons would be right up your alley. We are a new server and are a heavy rp pw within the Moonsea region of Faerun. We have awesome rpers that are very friendly on our server and a great DM staff that are very helpful. Low magic and atm the level cap on the server is 15 (Will be raised as we continue to build more). Plenty of things to do on the server if no one is around, lots of quest's (and I don't mean fed-x) and lots of fun and challenging dungeons to delve into. Our DM's help you to develope your character with character driven plots. Check out our forums www.seaofdragons.com .
