just wondering, you get friendship points from talking to them in thier homes, but is that enough?
Or do you have to have them in your group in Act 2 to get enough points?
do companions need to be in the group to be romanced?

I was able to romance Isabela with out grouping her except for Martin's conversations which is just too easy to do.

I got the romance with Merrill in one play even though I had rivalry max'ed out because I refused to help her repair the mirror. However I did all the sweet talk options. So it appears that sweet talking is the key to the romances. In the case of Isabella in the play with my PC as a 2 weapon rogue, I did not take Isabella on any quests where she was not required and sweet talking her was all it took as well.
