Hi, All, :)

I asked this question on the general forum and it was suggested that I ask it here, as well.  The DA2 Wikia site indicates that this quest (the "Evil Tomes" of Tarohne) can be completed EVEN IF you don't destroy all 5 tomes by manually jumping to the final dungeon and going on from there.  Specifically, it's described in this page:

http://dragonage.wik...Console_command

The "Console" indicates that forcibly setting your location to lgt231ar_tome_final is enough.  However, I've found that this method always drops my party into the central chamber, from which the quest marker is unreachable.  All paths that lead to the room with the quest marker are blocked by unopenable doors.

I've fooled around with the ENTRY_COORDINATES to attempt to start nearer to the dungeon entrance, which will hopefully allow me to follow the prescribed path... but nothing I try works.  I either end up starting in the main central chamber or in a wall off the map in the NW corner, neither of which grant me access to the chamber with the final quest marker.

Has anyone used this "savefile hack" to complete this quest?

Thanks in advance for any help!

I'm fairly sure setting the plot point worked for me; I didn't need to do any save editing.

I'll see if I have an old save that I can boot up and double-check a little later.

Thanks, Noctaris! Honestly, I haven't yet tried the first hack listed - I (perhaps mistakenly) assumed that this method was only for those who hadn't found all 5 tomes or were in chapter 3 or somehow otherwise blocked from completing the quest.

I'll try it tonight myself...
