No thanks. Voiceless player-inserts suck. I want a real character.
As for Morrigan's baby, it might not even exist. Many players opted not to perform the ritual with her.

Silent protagonists in rpgs seem like they're becoming a thing of the past. I honestly didn't see that much more freedom in the Wardens conversation options much of the time than I did with Hawke. I enjoyed having a voiced character, the conversations were much more entertaining to watch/hear.

I am of the mind that the OGB will be canon. If not by the Warden or Allistair, then by some other voodoo magic. Like she cast an Imperius curse on Allistair while he slept one night and did the nasty.
Yeah. I just dropped a Harry Potter reference. You wanna fight about it?!

No thanks. Any urge I had to play my Warden again was squished by Awakening. I'd love to play my Hawke again, but if I can't have that I'd prefer they just shelve them both.

I personally prefer to continue Hawke's story, not to mention that my main DA:O playthrough involves my warden sacrificing himself to kill the archdemon (I prefer him to remain dead).

Nope. The Warden seems out of place without a Blight or some major DS menace. We just had a Blight, and right after that we had a major DS menace.
I liked the Warden a lot more than I did Hawke. And I don't mind a silent PC at all. But even my Wardens who did the DR - and that's all of them, btw - don't always care so much about Morrigan or the OGB. And some people don't have an OGB in their worlds.
Making that choice canon might just be the worst move Bioware could make.

No way, wrap up Hawkes story in dlc and xpac then bring out a new protagonist

Yes please. Or at the very least bring them back with Hawke; enough of this "new protaganist every game because we can't be assed to finish our story threads" bull****.

No thanks. Dragon Age refers to a time period and not just about the Grey Wardens or Hawkes or what have you. I want new stories, locales and characters for DA3.
<--This warden would likely be building a high wall of darkspawn bodies in some forsaken part of the Deep Roads before dying by the time the DA3 storyline rolls around.

+1 for new protagonist.
I'd love to see themes and plot points from previous DA games come back, like the OGB and the Mage-Chantry conflict, and Flemeth etc, cameos from old friends, but personally would be most interested in a new protagonist and new area. (Tevinter, Orlais or Par Vollen!!)
If the Warden or Hawke came back, they would have to begin the game ridiculously powerful. I think that would be pretty alienating to new players, and imo, not as fun as starting low level and slowly earning crazy skills and abilities over the course of the game.
What I would really be grinning my head off about is if there is a new protagonist who at some point in the game can knock boots with Zevran and Isabela (if the imported saves say they're single). It would be a fun recurring trope that Zevran and Isabela get a chance to shag all the DA protagonists.

it would be great to get the warden back but near impossible, most likely we'll get someone new (looking forward to it)

I'd love to see my warden again and to have all of the dangling warden plot lines brought back up again (talking darkspwan, avernus, god baby, whatever happened to them at the end of da2)... but I doubt they will.

Well, at least my warden would be easy to voice, if they decide to bring her back. She only needs to say "braaaiiiinnsss" and shuffle about like the zombie she is.
Seriously though, I had my character - to whom I had become attached for many many hours of gameplay - DIE to prevent Morrigan's storyline from continuing. It would be incredibly depressing to have Morrigan show up preggers and laugh in my face about it all. I would not buy a game where Morrigan gets retconned back into the story. (Now if they somehow worked Flemeth in to take Morrigan's place in the stories where Morrigan was denied - if she somehow had her own scheme involving the rebirth of the old god, that could be a fantastic compromise. Flemeth is an awesome character, and if I could see her triumphant over Morrigan due to the warden's refusal, I would be overjoyed.)
The Warden's story felt complete at the end of Origins; not just because my particular character died, but because the storyline felt finished. While I'd like to see the future repercussions of the Wardens actions, I don't feel any need to see the Warden herself again.
My Hawke, on the other hand, I'd love to see more from, but I could be content with a few good DLC stories. I eventually do want to know what became of her and her companions, but the end of DA2 felt very much like a point from which to move on to another hero's story.
I like the idea of always seeing The Dragon Age universe from a new hero's viewpoint, the overarching story being about the world and the age, not any single individual. I do want to know more about Hawke's future, but she doesn't need to be the center of the universe in all future DA games.

no.
I don't dislike the Warden but I do feel like his/her story has ended. The Grey Wardens seem to be centered around fighting darkspawn and stopping a Blight. I would rather have something different. The only thing I would want to see is what happened with Morrigan if you did the dark ritual. But then again, people would be upset if the DR was made canon.
Also, it seems like people get too upset with epilogues and loose ends. If we did have the warden back for the next game, there probably would be some people who would say something like, "How can the warden be in DA 3? My epilogue from Origins said he did this!"

I figure if the DR is such a point of contention for people if its canonized or not, it really doesn't matter since 9 or so years after its possible birth the Son of the Morrigan isn't quite old enough for their destiny to even matter quite yet.

After what happened to Zevran in DA2, I lost my desire to see the return of the Surana Warden. I'm content knowing that he's with Morrigan and no where near Kirkwall...

I actually don't want the Warden coming back in DA3 just as I didn't want them coming back in DA2. As sad as it is to let go, I accepted by the time Awakening came out that my Warden's story was over, and that I would be quite content with her being both the Hero of Fereldan, Warden Commander of Fereldan, Arlessa of Amaranthine and QUEEN of Fereldan (Take THAT Howe).
I don't want the Dragon Age franchise to be like Mass Effect with one singular hero, with the way the franchise is designed (to focus on the world rather than a singular hero), it wouldn't work with a singular hero anyway.
DA3 WILL have closure of what exactly happened to Hawke and the Warden. As for the God baby, I disagree with a lot of people, that part of the story was FAR too built up to not have some sort of special meaning. I think the God Baby does exist, but not necessarily as Morrigan/Warden or Alistair's baby. Flemeth is quite powerful, who is to say she couldn't have captured the soul of the archdemon herself?

I only want the warden back if they let the game end with his calling. End his story with a badass closure and not again "vanish".

The Warden was nice and all, and so was Hawke, but give Hawke some DLC and wrap up the series please?
I mean we barely got any true WORLD story development so far, besides Mages vs Templars.
Then the whole Flemeth, Sandal, Morrigan, Old God Baby bullcrap too.

I like the thought of my warden coming back but doubt it will happen. It would be to complicated and their would be a up cry from thoses that did the ultimate sacrifice sure they could put the warden commander in their stead but still wouldnt be the same.
That said I dont want Hawk, I really didnt care for Hawk who I felt like I was watching and becoming... I was very disconnected to the point at the end when she disappeared I shrugged who could blame Hawk for disappearing? Their life really sucked. Meanwhile hearing that my Warden disappeared sent me raving.
So I'm hoping for someone new... someone that the player can fill more of the holes rather than precreated Hawk... and as long as they find my warden and dont have the warden off skipping with Reven..., Please bioware give me a closure.

I don't think the Warden's story is finished by the fact that the Warden disappears after a few years of complacency, I wouldn't mind if the Warden's levels were resetted if you could retain a few spells and talents for free from the previous playthroughs. BUT I would mind if they got rid of the specialisations because they are one minor definement of the character.
