OK I'm not sure this is the right thread but I'll post it anyway. I'm in act 1, and I've done the quest with carver in the estate (the one where you get the sigil armor). I took the armor but it doesn't show up on carver! How come?
Isn't it supposed to be added to him automatically? Because now I won't be able to completely upgrade his armor...
Any help would be appreciated!

Companion armor upgrades aren't visible. They are just combat bonuses, or extra rune slots. You can mouse over companion armor on their inventory screen to see what upgrades you've obtained so far.

Though, the companion you romance (and Anders and Aveline) will upgrade their armors looks eventually. Sadly isabella and Fenris barely change their looks if you romance them. Especially fenris. Merill gets an awesome outfit though.

I know that, and I know how it's supposed to look since I bought upgrades for Varric, but that's my point: on Carver it doesn't show anything! His armor is clean, no upgrades at all, even though I'm completely sure I took that armor upgrade!
