I imported a Dragon Age: Origins save where I never met Leliana (forgot to go to the Lothering inn). When I met her again in DA2 she mentions traveling with my warden. Only... the two have never met. Is this a glitch? I know her being alive is intentional. I'm not referring to her being alive, so much as the dialogue option of her 'travels' with my warden. It seems like it could be fixed easily by just not having that one dialogue option show up.
Is this a glitch? Leliana never met my warden import...

It's probably a glitch, as others have said.
I went half a playthrough without knowing about Leliana, she doesn't come to you unless you enter the inn.

My very first playthrough of the game I never even recruited her (because I never went into the inn) So yea, I guessing it's a bug.

Was this ever found out to be a glitch and/or fixed?

My theory is the reason Leliana cannot die in DA: O or even after DA: O Warden never met her in Lothering, Leliana is written to play a critical role in DA2 sequel like DA3. Who knows, maybe Leliana did die in Lothering or killed by the Warden but she has been resurrected for a higher purpose in DA3.
I think it's like movie sequels. Certain characters that died in the prequel can magically reappear as alive in the sequel. There isn't always an explanation given to how the character can be alive after it's dead. In games, it's more tricky because the character could be alive or dead but in the sequel, the developers can make up an excuse with or without explanation how the character is always alive.
In Mass Effect 2, what if Shepard survives the Suicide Mission with only one crewmate alive. Will importing dead ME2 crewmates save into ME3 ensures they stay dead or some of the crewmates will magically be alive again because the characters are critical to the story? I have only completed ME2 with some crewmates dead but now I'm curious what if I keep least important crewmate such as Kasumi alive after the Suicide Mission and import it to ME3 when it comes out. Hard to imagine critical crewmates such as Garrus isn't important in ME3. Or, ME3 simply places any dead ME2 crewmate with generic character that can fill the same function. In ME2, it's also possible to skip recruiting some characters if you get the IFF early and play several sidequests. The game will open up the final suicide mission. What will happen to those characters that never got recruited in ME2 after exported the save to ME3?
