The Warden's LI (whichever one it was) freaking ditched them. That was just not needed.

Any way, I love all my wardens but my dalish warden/Human Noble were the best!!!

Ditched? My Warden and Alistair never parted. The only time they did was Awakening content and then suddenly my Warden disappears.

No. It's just because Ferelden and everything about it sucks. Especially getting pulled into political BS. Wardens are supposed to be neutral, why the hell am I dragged into political crap? I thought we're not suppsoed to get involved in that stuff.

 Mind you though the presence of the Warden's in Fereldan was the weakest, they had a crappy little compound in Denerim and were short on skilled recruits and also they had already been kicked out of Fereldan once before so I can imagine they were treated with a little distrust by the nobles.

I thought that armor in DA 2 looked awesome. Stroud is awesome.

1) The Wardens will do anything to stop a blight, this is their first rule. If they have to get involved in politics so they can make an army so be it. If it comes to it they would kill kitties and hamsters if it meant stopping the blight. (Poor Ser-Pounce-A-Lot and Snuggles)

2) Wardens are supposed to be by definition Protectors of Mankind (So says Wynne from DA:O), they remain neutral because their involvement can cause more damage than it can prevent. If you played Warden's keep Sophia Dryden had the jist of it.

If we ever play as one again, the only Warden order I want to be part of is the awesome, proper and totally badass one that Bethany/Carver had. I want to be Stroud's subordinate. Stroud has Riordan's smexy voice.

The poor hero's life gets torn to shreds and getting injected with the demon disease only seals their miserable fate and dashes their hopes of ever being happy or normal again. Everyone hates them, they kill a dragon and still get no respect from anyone, guys dump them because they're sterile, girls only want to jump their bones so they can control the universe, everyone who claims to love them still ditches them, the world hates them... HATE HATE HATE

Fereldan is chock full of anti-Warden ****s, even though Warden saved all of their unwiped butts, they still treat the Wardens with zero respect or reverence. I wish just saying "Screw this!" and letting them all die like they deserve was an option. That place is such a sack of crap, it wouldn't be much different if the darkspawn took over.

You go to hell and back for these suckers and get nothing in return. Less than nothing, in fact. You're LI just ditches you, your family hates you, the world hates you even though you've bent over backwards many times over for it and saved it from it's own idiocy again and again, you have no home, your testicles/ovaries are shot, you're all alone...

I'm guessing the OP didn't pay much attention the the story much. You know...the whole, Grey Wardens exiled from Ferelden and just allowed back in thing? I'm not sure the lifespan is cut that short honestly for Wardens. Most people in feudal era history didn't live that long. Since the tech of Thedas seems based at that level, we can assume that nutrition and the standard of living is about as low. So most people would be dying in their forties anyway, being a Warden isn't so bad, especially with the international perks. Plus, having freaky witches want to sleep with you is a bad thing? As a comedian once stated, crazy person sex is the best sex. Bring on the crazy witch groupees and live like a rockstar, leaving a good looking corpse. Being a Grey Warden sounds like fun to me.

It wasn't the sex but the horrid, selfish motivation behind it. Nuff said.

But being a Warden still sucks arse for the reasons I mentioned. I don't want to be a Warden again unless I can have awesome army, a proper Warden order to be part of, and I get to be a subordinate. Because being a leader of this garbagey life just sucks.

Oh, and there's sex but nobody actually loves or cares for you, which IMO is what my characters really want.

And just being diseased sucks epically. Everything about Wardens suck. Might as well chop off my bits, lay down in a ditch and go to sleep forever.

Sounds like you made all the wrong decisions. My Warden resurrected a god and disappeared through a mirror with a hot witchy babe and lived happily ever after. True story.

Yeah, but that still sucks because we haven't gotten a final enough conclusion yet. Where the heck exactly does the Elusivan lead and where the heck did she stash the devil bastard? Where did they end up and what are they doing now? Are they still together? Did she relent and actually let him see the damned kid?
