Why does this game only have 1 city?

80% of the quests are fighting inside the same city map over and over. LOL.

You fought in Lothering.
You fought in the Deep Roads.
You fought in Sundermount.
You fought in the Wounded Coast.
You fought in the Fade.

But are you telling me the city you spend seven years navigating, isn't fun to fight in with all these breaks!?!?!?!?!?!

...Well you're right.

The only thing that tees me off about Kirkwall is the improbably large and mind bogglingly annoying hordes of thugs EVERYWHERE.

Kirkwall has a hidden population of ninjas being trained underground, this is how they appear out of ceilings, walls, windows.

Yeah, enemies seem to materialize out of nowhere, like ghosts. I hate that.

By limiting us to one city, it's surrounding landscape and the reused quest areas the game forces us to take an internal journey of personal growth and discovery. I discovered that it doesn't matter how many times I play my Hawke always beds Fenris. This says something about me I'm just not sure what that is yet. Maybe if I play through a few more times I'll unlock my seventh chakra and transcend to a higher plane. That and as 101ezylonhxeT so eloquently put it. The Order Dictates!

Grand Theft Auto has one city setting except that BioWare forget GTA is sandbox and open world with many features to keep player entertained. There're night clubs, bars, casinos, hookers, shops, nice cars, etc... Kirkwall on the other hand is empty dead, unresponsive inhabitants and useless. There is one useless brothel and the rest depend on side quest to trigger.

I bet you there's more people you can interact with, in Denerim then are people you can interact with in Kirkwall during any act.

I hope that indeed you will come to a self realisation and with that new found knowledge, transcend the bonds of our mortal plane.

Good luck, friend.

I started wondering why Kirkwall in itself couldn't at least have been just 1 map. I mean it's not that big nor the graphical gorgoesness that could make my pc explode...

Maybe Bioware wanted us to appreciate the new loading screens.

I didn't like the re-use of maps. :(
Being in the same city for a while is fine, if not all explored, but once you have and they just re-use the areas even more...Ugh.

Kirkwall really is soulless and imagine with the amount of effort they put into Kirkwall are to be divide into making another city. It would just be another carbon copy with a different RGB tint.

God's game has more than one city. God's game is life and He plays you all.
