Nope, it's the outfit she wears throughout the game.
It's obvious. What other character had different outfits at different points in ME2 besides alternates? They make 1 character model, it's too difficult to make multiple models for the same character.
It may be redesigned leading up to the game if they decide they don't like it, but it's pretty certain it's not just a 'sometimes outfit.' If that's her outfit, it's what she'll wear throughout.

That's completely true but I just don't see anyone using tight leather suit as casual wear when relaxing from battle.

Because it's magical* space fabric. Also, the plates aren't plastic, they're a ceramic composite like the kind used by the real military, only magic*. Besides, Ashley said that this provides more protection herself.Phaedon wrote...

Besides, people don't wear leather clothing in 2011, why would they in 2185?
