Do you actually believe that's her combat armour? Seriously? Just look at Kaidan, she will proabably have similar armour to his.

That "catsuit" is just her casual wear.

You know, I thought the same about Miranda. Then... surprise!
But I know (and hope) that the developers understand that a battle-hardened military operative won't board and assault an enemy ship in high heels. At least this time. Maybe.

I hope you're right.... My Shepard will still love Ashley but he'll be more relunctant to bring her on missions if that's her armor choice.

Indeed.  Kaidan looks ready to take on an entire squad of batarian slavers by himself.  Ashley looks ready for a night on the town.

Not that my Shep would mind a night on the town with Ashley.  But not while batarians are attacking...

I really hope it's a casual outfit. I am not getting my hopes up though. *sigh*

I hope they can understand that we will like the game even if no women wears a catsuit.

I think it's just stupid when they do.
"What was that? A battle? I'll just throw on my suit which gives no protection whatsoever, because I want to look good instead of being at least a little safe from bullets."

bioware sadly is not new to outfits that make no sense given a character's role

hell look at Isabela

It's been a while since I played ME2 but I seem to recall they did away with the casual outfit idea, folks just wear what they wear all the time now.

ME1 was closer to what I prefer - casual outfit on the ship, combat armour when off it. If they could mix it so they all had two outfits that were unique to them, it would be a fantastic balance.

I am aware that is a lot of effort though, but it's the kind of detail that spereates an ok game from a great one, and it would be really appreciated. :innocent:

Eh? her outfit makes perfect sense. She likes sex. The lack of pants while having really thick/tall boots allows her to engage sex readily while also able to travel through thick brush without scrapping up her legs.

This way she doesn't have to take off her boots ever.

Hate to say this to you but I actually think Isabela's outfit does match her character considering she is an easy pirate which matches the outfit especially considering she wears no underwear lol

It is possible that either that's Ashley's casual dress or that, because the game has not been finished, Ashley is using a generic female body for the demo. ME2's and DA2's "feature" of no longer allowing characters to change clothes does worry me, though, as does ME2's "upgrade" that removed the characters' ability to remove clothing during sex (Shepard dry-humping Jack into submission still makes me laugh out loud -- just fade the scene to black like Garrus and FemShep for cryin' out loud. Of course, Garrus waited until FemShep got fully dressed after her shower to get his groove on).

I said role...not character

she is a melee combatant, a duelist...a modicum of goddamn armor is expected during quests FFS

even if LIGHT.

Same for Ashley....even if she was a biotic and relied mostly on barriers a modicum of ****ing light armor would just be common sense

Oh, and I agree that Isabella's attire did not fit her character. I mean, why even bother to wear clothes at all?

Yeah, duelist. Her whole attitude was not getting hit in the first place. Interestingly in DA1 she primarily does this by avoiding fights, which is an attitude she's allowed to wane since DA2. Still she prefers to not be where her opponet strikes. Don't see a need for armor when you're doing backflips. It'll get in the way.

Personally I hope its her casual attire or her pj's or something.I do not want bioware to dumb Ashley down to appeal to more people. That said no matter what im just glad she is returning.

too be honest I am not bothered but it will be weird seeing miranda and a sexed up ashley williams in the same game (hopefully that is)

and I have a feeling they put the photo to game informer to see peoples reaction to see whether to advance that design further or start again from the drawing board on the redesign which is why you only see a small image because its not HQ version of her yet

I doubt it.
Look at Liara in the picture with Kaidan and Shep.
She seems to be wearing light armor.
Meaning the females will at least get light armor.

Because she is infallibe right? she will never EVER be hit the whole game by a lucky strike, an arrow or a spell right?

for that matter she is soooo awesome it is impossible to down her at all right?

BS

Make good on this, Bioware.

That's what people said about Miranda and Samara right up until release.

Bioware learn. Plus, that wouldn't fit Ashley's character, while Miranda and Samara's did.

Huh? In which way such decollete could fit justicar aka paladin of justice and law?

Samara is, at best, lawful neutral (with the twist that she only follows her holy book and disregards secular law entirely) - paladins are generally good rather than "just following orders"

Good, I was loyal to her in ME2. I expect her to be wearing a tight catsuit.

On a serious note, I agree, I am not a big fan of her suit.
