So this hints that squadmates will have outfits on Normandy and armor outside of Normandy in ME3, like we did in ME1.
yea...thats what everyone thought when we first saw Miranda, Jack, Samara, Jacob, and pretty much every companion that isn't Garrus or Grunt....Look how that turned out.
I wasn't in previous forums but I'm sure nobody complained about that since, you know, it wasn't an issue in ME1.
A lot of people complained about that in ME2 and Miranda's Alternative Appearance confirms they listen to that.

Yea lets talk that pack...Grunt...one of the few squad members who DIDN't have an armor problem when Jacob would have made much more sence. Miranda...while I was overjoyed to see armor that joy was instantly dashed when I saw that it alterted her entire body shape. Tali I'll admit was just a BA improvement.

My point was only Miranda about issue with Ashley's outfit.
A lot of people complained about she going to battle in tight suit and shoes. And look at the result. No she actually looks like she's going to battle and badass. Though I don't know what you mean by her altered body shape. Looks same to me.

Still can be fixed in ME3.
Besides that armor fixed EVERY other problems with Miranda in combat.

Reading Casey Hudson's twitter on the subject makes me wonder if they are going to offer people a choice. Rather than having silly loyal/unloyal outfits that largely seemed little different for many characters they might have an armor look and a glam look.

All of her "assests" are totaly 100% flatened in that suit, even the "perfect" rear end...shes flat as a board on both sides. While overall I am happy to see armor...it's rather jarring to see it basicly reskin the characters body to do it.

Some of the armor choices for FemShep have the same issue. Your breasts basically just get chopped off if you wear some of the alternate armors, Blood Dragon and such. I guess they just couldn't be "assed" (lolpuns) to make seperate female models for the DLC armor.

A woman can't wear the armor of a man. They don't have the muscle mass to bear it.

Although the screenshot/concept art isn't of the best quality, apart from her eyeliner, she seems to have eyeshadow, lipstick (lips appear glossy and too pink) and her cheeks seem too pinkish compared to her skin tone.didymos1120 wrote...

I can barely recognize Ash underneath all that makeup and Miranda-influence...
All what makeup? The only difference is that she's got a little eyeshadow now.
I qualify that as makeup. Hopefully, it's just the bad quality of the image.
And even if that suit is only off-combat, in ME1 she wore a military-style getup. Now, not so much.
Mind you, I'm not saying her look shouldn't be changed. I was slightly miffed she looked exactly the same in ME2 (down to the phoenyx armour), rather, it's just that I feel they made a much, much better job with Kaidan (seems more mature, more badass and his armor looks like armor) than they did with Ash.
That said, I didn't like Ash for her ponytail and fashion sense in Mass1 (although I do prefer the tomboyish woman to the one who spends 2 hours getting ready to go buy groceries), so there's still hope that what really got me to like Ash is still there.
edit: I forgot; what happened to her breasts? Is she breastfeeding to go up three sizes or a space-wizard did it?

For those who claim to defend realism it terms of armor:

Heavy armor for a female isn't that heavy, it's practically a jumpsuit with some plates grafted on. The only armor in the games that ever approaches "can't be worn by females" levels is Shepard's ME2/ME3 armor, and Shepard has the excuse of being cybernetically augmented (he/she can fire guns that would normally shatter a human's arm).

- Her "fashion sense" in ME1 was her wearing standard military off-duty wear. Her hair was done in a neat, compact bun to allow for the use of a helmet. There isn't room for "fashion" in the military unless you skimp on practicality--another reason her look in ME3 is being deemed out of character. (This was more permissable in ME2's case because the females in question weren't actually military and had more latitude in making personal choices. Also, it so happens that they were all either biotic or tech specialist (and the Quarian was practically unchanged from ME1 anyway, just a few design tweaks and that was it), meaning they would have gone lighter on armors anyway. Ash is a Soldier-class military girl, she's been characterized as leaning toward practical and protective wear. The new look kind of goes against that.
- All females in ME1 had the same body model, and thus the same breast size. That's even more unnatural than a sudden breast enlargement--at least that can actually be done in the real world via surgury and such.

If it bothers then just give her outfit back on Normandy and put armor on when leaving since you'll be to busy shooting enemies then to stare at Miranda's ass.

I do that already...but when your doing things like her loyalty mission...kinda hard to ignore given the camera angles Bioware spams her with...to be honest I don't stare at Miranda's ass...I don't find "perfect" women attractive in the slightest.Mesina2 wrote...

No thanks majority of the game is out of Normandy. Whether fighting or exploring hubs. So i want original Miranda that looks fantastic.

Don't misunderstand, I didn't mention fashion sense as a direct reference to her ME1 attires, but rather as a general comment that my Shep didn't romance Ashley for her looks. As for my opinion on her current suit, I've already stated I'm not in the least pleased. It's something I'd expect of Miranda, not Ash. And it rubs me the wrong way that a Sentinel-class character gets decent armor and Ash is left with a catsuit-based gear.Nathan Redgrave wrote...

As for breast size, I just can't picture Ashley having a breast enlargement surgery. At all.
That wasn't the Ash I met in Mass1 (and Mass2). What? She decided getting a bigger pair of breasts for Shepard's trial instead of a new pair of shoes would impress the brass more?
