Am I and my wife, the only ones that like this item dlc? Of course, it'd be more awesome if it was free, but I still liked it, and personally, something as simple as new gear makes me want to play the game again...just not right now, cause obviously I'm sick of kirkwall lol. But love the gold warrior armor + the wicked sword. Love the red robe on the mage, and the rogue's daggers. All in all, it was ok for 5 bucks.
Wow... Biowares marketing plan works. Make pretty and shiny objects and it will distract people from all the problems

People complaining about DLC is becoming more annoying than the DLC itself.
If you think its money-grabbing, or don't like it, DON'T BUY IT. No one cares about your witty comments about EA.
I bet you love EA and Activision making you bend over, right?
****ing moron.

Sure. Everyone who loves DA2 and its' DLC is a console user. I found it average and hate the DLC and have hated DLC for every game.

I can pick up Divine Divinity for £2.00 on Amazon.co.uk and it will offer me more than 100 hours of gameplay. Whereas for £3, I can get this crappy DLC pack that doesn't offer anything game changing like new quests that last for 5 hours. When they do release DLC that adds new quests, these DLC packs will last for 1 hour but will cost £3 - £5.
Another fail from Bioware. Yet before anyone comes singing Bethesda's praises, they do this sh*t too. They released like several DLC packs for Oblivion that just offered lairs for you to store treasure and these packs were priced at £4.

I picked up Divinity II: DKS a week afte DA2 was released. Still playing it and finished the Ego Draconis game last week. I found almost all the armor and weapons in DII looks pretty good. I did pick it up for around $20, so about 12 pounds.
I am against all compies going the quick and dirty cash grab DLC route. BW have only released a couple of DLC's that are decent. And the decent ones were for ME2, rest were crap.

anyway, no matter how much you guys complain on internet forums, this is capitalism and the market has spoken. Enjoy your long and unending future of DLC.

No, you're not the only one.
I really like the new robe and mask for the Mage. It reminds me of V from V for Vendetta, only mage-a-fied - or perhaps like the Chaplain-Confessors from the WH40k Dark Angel space marines. The staff is ok I guess, I still prefer the Final Thought, but it's good for the majority of the game.
I'm not sure that this was the right time to release a gear DLC, as the atmosphere doesn't seem that conducive to non-Kirkwall DLCs, but hey, it cost me £2 or something. I'm not so hard-up that I'm going to go nuts over a snazzy new robe that cost me the same as an Americano.

Wow - way to intentionally misunderstand the guy's post. How does the above imply that he's being distracted from all the game's problems? Seriously?

I like the new armor. The mage gear is great! I have yet to explore the rogue and warriors sets. Looks lik a couple more play throughs for me.
Just as a side, I'm not sure why people who don't like something have a tendency to lambast those of us who do. It's rude people. I'm know there are players who do not like the DLC. Thats fine. I do like to read why people don't enjoy something as it gives me something to consider, but please do so without implying someone is stupid or ignorant.

DA2 is rated higher on the PC than it is on Xbox 360, making comments like you just did, make you look like a foolish child.

I love the new act 2 warrior armor except the chestpiece which is a bit strangely shaped. I love the mage set and staff alltogether. I like also the act 2 rogue armor and bow.
I dislike however the dwarven armor for warrior, would have liked a new skin rather than that form Origins. Also cannot see those rogue "daggers" which look like butcher knives and out of context (still awseome stats).

Only purchased the mage set, simply cause the robes look way better than the others in-game, and the lovely mask-hood combo (hated the other hoods in-game except for one and it didn't match the champion set).
"oh, woe is me for wasting money on cosmetics!"
I'm a sucker for looking good just before a bit of bloodletting ;-}

Or we could just not buy it. You don't have to accept anything really.

Sometimes a fan (of anything) will buy everything just because they are a fan. It's like going for a soda; nobody gets hurt, nobody cries. Well, maybe some people cry. We try to comfort them.

They are making story DLC but haven't gotten any word on how far it is in development so it may be a while
