The warrior low level gear is straight up Legion of the Dead armor. Looks awesome as all get out.Patriciachr34 wrote...

As long as there are enough players who enjoy the DLC and as long as the business is profitable to those that release DLC, it will be there whether it's believed by the masses to be worthwhile or not. That's the way the market works. Making a choice whether to buy it or not is the best contributor to the decision on whether future DLC of a particular type (items, quests, characters, etc) is made.
Sometimes a fan (of anything) will buy everything just because they are a fan. It's like going for a soda; nobody gets hurt, nobody cries. Well, maybe some people cry. We try to comfort them.
True, that's why I have always said that we should boycott these kind of money grabbing DLC and show the game companies that it is not ok.
I mean, instead talking about it, why not do something about it. This is not only going to make the future better, but it is also going to save you guys some money!
So let's stop buying these DLCs if you think they are stupid and money grabbing. Tell everyone you know not to buy them, too.
We can't be heard, if we don't make them hurt!

I think almost everyone that uses LIVE is fully aware how over priced Games on Demand is and to that end, those games don't sell in huge amounts. Almost every week this conversation crops up on the offical forums and every week everyone agrees only a moron would be taken in by it. I like to think of it as a place where games go to die.
That said, MS aren't alone in doing this as i think almost all digital media is overpriced when you consider it's a fraction of what's included in the full game and when you also consider there's no packaging costs, shipping costs, pressing costs or middle men [retail outlets etc] digital media in no way or form represents value for money. It also has no sell on value whatsoever.
I suppose devs know this is where the real money is and until people stop buying it en mass, it's never gonna change and from a buisness pov, why should they stop it?
Which is why I only purchase new games via Amazon, I would rather have a hard-copy than simply a collection of 1 and 0's...Also, concerning console-players being cheated, remember, most console RPGs INCREASE exponentially in value depending on the rarity; hell, I've seen 16bit games demanding $200 and up! So I'll wager that collectors (was one myself) aren't too concerned with price as much as acquisition!
But still, even on a cross-platform with the PC and it's relative age shouldn't warrant such underhanded tactics in exploiting the consumer (I mean, cash-cow) However, if I WERE to purchase a game via online I ONLY use GOG! www.gog.com/en/frontpage/ console users need not apply!

Tried reading to find the answer to my question but just got bored. Can someone tell me if the DLC items have a requirement like in Origins with the Dragon Armor? Or do they let you use them right off the bat, and also if the armor and weapons are good enough to stay with you throughout the game or do they only last for an Act or so? Thanks.
There are two levels of armor in each pack. The lower levels will take you through act 1, the second level will get you through act 2. Until you get the champion armor. Many of the items improve with level up. The staff gives you +2 to all attributes and improves with level up, and it used to be Hawkes father's staff. It does spirit damage. I have all the item packs. I am in the middle of the warrior play through and just got access to the second level armor. I'm not lvl 17 yet that gets you the higher level sword. but thats all off the top of my head.
