Considering I'd have to actually play DA2 again to make use of the item pack, I think Bioware...YOU should be paying ME.

After all the constructive criticism (see constructive criticism thread) and the not so constructive criticism elsewhere on these forums and other places on the net (and there has been lots of that and you know it), the last I expected to see was an attempt to further nickle and dime your customers. I expected to see at the very least a meaty story driven DLC to make up for the lack of it in DA2, not THIS. Bioware, are you truly this out of touch with your fans?

So the existence of this DLC means we will never have "meaty story driven DLC," ever?

Sorry. I don't buy DLC. Ever. From no game developer. So I've no idea how the points work, I just did some quick approximations. I was too consumed with hilarity to search and see how this point stuff works in detail.

Oh, that wasn't directed at you, per se... you were just quoting what other people were saying in the thread, the same as I was.

Probably not.

Then again, Bioware's idea of "meaty story driven DLC" would probably involve going through that same damn cave again.

Kasumi/Overlord (and Arrival, but that's a bit out) is only 160 points more that this Item Pack, guess which DLC has more dialogue, unique maps, soundtracks and content? :wizard:

The DA franchise is really trying to aim for the "ugly stepchild of BioWare" title.

Well, it wasn't a snipe or anything on my part either. I really meant to apologize for throwing out false numbers.

Like I said, I've no real clue how the points work. I read somewhere that 2400 points are ~ $ 30. So I did some really fast estimations - trying not to choke to death while laughing.

No harm done :)

Hopefully people will buy this ****, so that EA will want to keep supporting the game.
I'm certainly not going to.

Nope, didn't say that. But I think it is a major mistake for the first DLC to be this one. I do know that by the time a different one comes out I will have stopped caring. Didn't Bioware say the worst thing that could happen was not for fans to criticise them but for those fans to stay silent and not caring any more? Well, they just got one big step closer to that. There is only so much bull**** I will put up with before I move on.

Or perhaps some more meaty chunks flying about your PCs ears. Watch where you point that toothpick, dammit.

Sorry, but I'm still chuckling. I'll be coherent soon enough. I hope.

I'm actually returning the game to the store.

I was already contemplating it, but this pushed me over the edge.  It's just too pathetic.

Don't be like that.  There's nothing wrong with what they're doing here.

It's not like they're hiding that this DLC is a total waste of money.

Exactly, it's unabashedly shameful!

As I said earlier, it's like showing off a gravy stain on your shirt!

But still, I really am just not enjoying the game.  I beat it once, not interested in doing so again.  Not in small part due to the fact that it made me start playing Origins again, and I was having MUCH more fun doing that instead!  This was just the final nail in the coffin.

*kisses vigorously*    You broke my heart Bioware... you broke my heart!    :crying:

I'm always up for more items, but I hope this stuff would actually look good. The lack of armor sets in DA 2 is unsettling

Oh hi Toof. It is rather funny, isn't it? I've never seen anything like that lion-thingy-armor. It makes all this implied Orlesian feather boa and fancy stuff seem rather bland.

Birds in a hair-due? Eat your heart out! You've seen nothing yet, Leliana.

There be lions. This is Kirkwall!!!

Finally some new DLC...

...and its new items. Great! The game was really lacking DLC items. <_<

Bioware you...no, I am at a loss for words. You claim you love your fans so much (at least on Facebook you do) but your actions imply otherwise.

The two handed sword for the warrior is ridiculous looking, the armor however is oddly appealing. Makes Hawke look like a god walking around Kirkwall.

Wow, Tommy, I didn't know that the console gamers were milked that way. I'm sorry to hear that, talk about being taken advantage of.

And no, I didn't want to rub anything in. I figure, if they come out on the consoles, the PC stuff-pack isn't far behind. I could be wrong though. I know next to nothing about consoles. I only have the Wii.

And a big LOL @ EJ.

Being on both sides of the fence, I can say that you definately get milked on Xbox, it costs 60 bucks per year for gold members, and there is so many add-ons and DLC items for everything it can end up costing a fortune lol

The upside of the consoles is that you dont have to upgrade the machine for 5-7 years, you put a game in and play, as where you can have problems with the PC's compatibilty etc , This is a classic EA money grab here tho, charging for appearance packs lol

OK The non robe mage armor looks decent. I always thought it was silly that you were flaunting being a mage in an anti mage town by wearing robes and carrying the staff. Now if we could get a non staff looking weapon it might actually work.

The Orlesian Helm reminds me of the helmets from Chronicles of Riddick worn by the Necromongers.
/scrambles for a pict.

That's true Night.

I didn't know that consoles had static hardware, how ignorant is that? I always assumed that because they were able to go on-line that they were somewhat PC related.

I did know that there would be little to no modding, but I thought it was because of an inability to change the disk-hard drive interacting.

But when it's all said and done, wouldn't all the additional money that the console players have to dish out add up to getting a decent PC?

Yeah, I know. Shut up silly woman. I'll go get my coat now....
