Why do you guys care so much about seeing Femshep in the marketing?

Who the **** cares. Let them market the way they want to market it. You'll buy it anyway and you'll have heaps of fun with your femshep anyway.

She kicks ass, has a much better VA, and females are in general underrepresented in the gameing industry.

Any reaosn why a male has to be on the cover outside of "Iconic"?

Sigh..... You missed the part where I said that I would have been enjoying this game years ago. I didn't because I didn't know you can play as FemShep. I know people that have done the same and are doing the same. Of course I've told them that it is an option, but I'm sure that there are other female gamers that I don't know that are missing out. In other words, this is less about an easter egg for me and more about being more inviting for female gamers. FemShep is one of the best examples of a good female protagonist. It's a shame that Bioware doesn't take advantage of that.

Chell is also a good female protagonist. She is determined and not overly-sexual.

Too bad she can't speak.

Also... I understand posting in a thread if you've only read the last page, if there's something on the last page you feel it's necessary to comment on. I usually read the last two pages, or at least skim them, but not everyone has the time. I get that.

But what possesses someone to show up in a thread where many people have stated their reasoning behind a thing, and just shout "I don't understand what the reasoning for this thing could possibly be!" It seems... not... good.

Yay.... At least they got the over-sexualized fixed. That's a start....

Chell and GlaDOS also contribute to Portal's incredible popularity with female gamers. Both are great characters, and it's easy to tell that they're in the game.

Putting Grunt on the cover obviously made it too awesome for mortal eyes, so they picked the current one for safety reasons.

That he does. I wonder if FemShep would look good too? :P

First off, I'm a straight guy. I played 2 female Shepards and 1 male one in ME1, twice for each in ME2 (in other words, I brought the characters over twice). I did it because I like the female Shepard more, as I think Jennifer Hale is a far superiour VA, she's easier to make good-looking character models for, and it's different to play a female lead.

I think that there should be a reversible cover for the game. I agree with the ones supporting this, and I wish that BioWare would do this.

Yeah, the first person on this particular forum that has admitted they don't like Meer either! Honestly, I don't get the love for that guy....

On another note, why wouldn't they represent FemShep with Hale VAing for her? Hale is awesome imo, but putting that aside, she's done great work for Bioware in the past. Wouldn't they like to market a VA that not only is well known in the fanbase of BW's games, but is also pretty good too? Really, no matter how I slice this, I just can't understand why Bioware has ignored FemShep's marketing potential....

No, because default male Shepard has been on the cover since the start.

I don't know where you're getting that from, there are people all over this forum whining about how much they hate Meer.

theres no iconic femshep face.

so far the entire series they've used sheploo for all promotional stuff, all trailers, all covers, all ads, everything.

from a marketing standpoint putting femshep on the cover would be a MASSIVE mistake. you lose all brand recognition.

the ONLY people who care that femshep would be on the cover are people who are already going to buy the game lol

only 20% of people play as FemShep. either way, I don't care about marketing. as long as Jennifer Hale voices Shepard, I'm happy

People jsut don't understand the marketing side of this whole deal...Male Sheppard is the most recognized face and Icon of the game series, has been everywhere so I don't think it would be a good move to change that,on the last game...any brand needs something or someone to represent it visually and sheploo is that image...like it or not.

Is it me or a lot of people are asking for major(not this one in particular) changes of the game when this game is practically finished....they probably already have the cover...the mechanics...the gameplay and the charachter desingn already done...I just see all this petitions a bit too late

Obvious placeholder cover is obvious.  The launch cover will be different.  And it will have Sheploo on it.

That said.  A reversable cover needs to happen.  Meer does a great job.  And Vanderloo is very pretty... but my Shepard is a bald lesbian space marine.  And I want my Shepard on the box at so I can stare lovingly in its direction.

There are no drawback to a reversable cover.  It needs to happen.  Or I'm not pre-ordering it.  And I'm getting it used!

Just kidding.  I won't go that far.  Obvious hyperbolie.

But I would love to see more Femshep.  And I love being catered too... and any kind of a marketing push for femshep couldn't hurt the franchise.  To the people that have called Hale's Shepard (one of if not the) best female character in a video game... I agree 100%  Why not USE such a briliant creation to one's advantage?

EA would be crazy not to give Femshep just a LITTLE marketing push...

I'll take my tophat off to you Sir if that happens...but I I'm 99% sure it won't...Hopefully they'll prove me wrong because the reversible idea isn't so crazy...but I still think it's not gonna happen..like alot of things people are asking for lately

That's a placeholder 100%
