I can't seem to get paralysis bomb to work efficiently, I gave it to Morrigan and it is completely awesome, but she keeps blasting either me (tank) or the whole party to kindom come. So, how do you set up your tactics for paralysis bomb to not trap your party too? Or just micromanage her to cast it at a bit of range?

You have to micro manage it a bit. It's got a large range.
My rule of thumb is ... if I couldn't cast fireball without knocking my party down, then the mobs are too close for paralysis explosion too.

I've done paralysis explosion many times by accident, forgetting that I can't cast them on top of one another without paralyzing my warden+companions.
This is too complicated to set up in tactics. Usually, if I want my mage companions to cast anything that isn't a heal spell or single target offensive spell, then I maually have them cast the spell. Otherwise, they'll be hitting my party with cone of cold, fireball and etc. constantly.

You dont need line of sight for the combo to work.
If you are in a dungeon, let your stealthed rogue scout ahead. Move your mage so that he can cast Repulsion followed by Paralysis without danger... then have fun.
I would only use it AFTER a fight has started if you want to shut down ranged enemies that are too far away to be engaged otherwise.
During the fight, using glyphe of repulsion on your tank is just as good as stunning all of them (enemies bouncing everywhere).

I set it up with
Enemy - at medium to long range > cast glyph of repulsion
Enemy - at medium to long range > cast glyph of paralysis
seems to be working pretty well so far, my warrior warden hangs back a little bit until it is cast, then whirlwinds and kills everything. Its awesome (Y)
