Given how there seems a continent-wide war going on, but most of the foreshadowing predicts either Orlais (Val Royeaux) or Tevinter (Minrathous) as being featured in an upcoming game. An Exalted March, perhaps several, would make for excellent plot devices to move the narrative between the seats of both Divines, which by then have probably become the 'capitals' of respectively the Templars and Magi.

Many somehow relevant places also just happen to be on the main route (The Imperial Highway) between Val Royeaux and Minrathous, such as:

-Cumberland (Where the convention Wynne spoke of took place, location of largerst Circle)
-Nevarra City (Capital of Nevarra and a city that has apparently primarily been ruled by Cassandra's family)
-The Silent Plains (Site of the defeat of the first Archdemon, apparently permanently blighted with Darkspawn blood)
-Weisshaupt Fortress (Grey Warden Headquarters, just slightly off-route)

And extrapolating from Minrathous, Seheron's not too far from where we'd be going. A qunari invasion in the near future seems inevitable given the Arishok's last words. And on the topic of inevitability, so does the beginning of another Blight or something involving the Old God Child, given the foreshadowing Stroud/Alistair does during the qunari takeover of Kirkwall.

There also are some lesser known cities practically on the road, mainly Val Chevin (Orlais) and Vol Dorma (Tevinter), both the first cities from their respective capitals. The most obvious role for these would be the mandatory first strange city in an RPG and/or the last resting place before the final battle.

Cumberland also happens to be near a forest (Planasene Forest), so there we probably also have the mandatory Dalish Elf-plotline neatly tucked into the Templar/Magi-war storyline. The only big missing I see here is the lack of dwarven representation, although I suppose that could be solved by having something happen in Kal-Sharok (somewhat off-course) post-Minrathous, possibly something pertaining to what has been troubling the Wardens (mainly an Archdemon and its 'spawn, I guess). It could probably also be implemented just after or during Nevarra City, a handy distraction at the half-way point of the March.

Just a random thought I had last night, worked out in such a way that you'd see every major nation and city that we haven't already. Would appreciate you guys sharing your thoughts on the matter.

Why would the Tevinter Imperium want to embroil themselves in the war between the foreign Templars and Mages? They don't care about Mage freedom, if the templars murdered all the rebellios mages they'd probably think it was a good thing because they have fewer potnetial rivals.

I wouldn't want to be part of the march but I would love to fight against it. Really the only thing I don't like about dragon age 1 and 2 is my characters seem to believe in this maker which I would never do. No way would I help them in a war and if that is how the next game would be then I will save my 60 dollars for a different game.

I would not even consider buying DA3 if the main character had to participate in a crusade.

Given the track record for previous exalted marches in terms of how successful they actually were, I'll stay at home thank you very much. They've generally fared no better than the actual crusades did, which is to say they were abysmal failures.

It could be an interesting story. It would have to be very interesting to actually get me wanting to do an Exalted March.

I'd really like visiting some of those places, and maybe learn more about characters we've met in previous DA games, like Cassandra and Cullen. Alright damnit, I admit it: if Cullen wants me to March, I will. If he wants me to fight against a March, I will. If he wants me to wear a pretty dress and dance the Remigold, I will.

This sounds interesting, but if you had to be on the side of the templars... it would suggest not being able to be a mage. Unless it was one of those things where you can decide which side to support.

I'd feel vanilla-y.

It's as good an idea as any other.

I think Orlais would bring more than the Chantry to the fight. Just a hunch.

I think it'd be interesting to have a system where you have personal control over your troops but em...I dunno about Orlais and all that.

Knock knock.
Who is it?
The massed armies of the Qun come to ask if Tevinter can come out to play.
Archon, archie some quinn person wants to see you.
Oh crap! Tell him i'm out.

Imperiums going to be a bit busy if we get our way, give the Qun your body, mind and soul or we'll burn down your bloody cities.

Oh lord not a war against the Qunari. I mean the Qunari are interesting and all but no. If there was a war between mages and the Chantry it'd make sense that they'd probably aid the chantry or an anti-mage faction to prevent mages from taking over Ferelden and potentially becoming an ally of Teventer.

I don't have any interest in being forced to participate in a crusade against men, women, and children who want to be free.

I think it should be about which side you choose to fight on. With the mages or against the mage faction. So you don't have to fight against them if you don't want to. Its kind of like, the end of DA2 was where the heck the story should've been at the beginning. And who you choose to side with needs to actually matter this time. It needs to be a kind of war that will be legnthy like ME so they don't have to keep making retcons.

I am going more for Don Quixote as older-Hawke, Pancho as Varric and Aldonza as Isabella in DA3 the Musical.
[and i am kidding but I love this movie lol.]  ;) Dream it!

Just make DA3 entertaining, immersive and with a strong story-line and I will probably get it anyway.  Addict am I.

I doubt he was suggesting a war against the qunari, but a war as the qunari.

Only if we get Linda Eder as fem!Hawke/Warden/Sheperd/Whatever.

Other than that, we're in agreement.  :o

I approve fully. As long as the boss battles play out something like this.

It's not clear to me how BW could make it make sense for the Chantry to launch a Divine March on Minrathous when they're having to deal with the mage insurrection and the Templars have broken off from the Chantry?

But if they do, I'd hope they keep it to Orlais and Tevinter. Having all those places on the list show up in one game would mean they'd each likely have to be fairly small.

*breathes* Oh...Good. The last thing I want is one of those religious war stories. Because what if you don't care about either religion. I know I certainly don't :P

And I want a musical of "Every sp*rm is sacred" by the monty python

I'd like a religious war story if it was presented somewhat in the manner of the Mission, then again I thought Hawke was going to become an unwilling Martin Luther so i'm usually wrong about what the biofolk intend (which is nice in a way).

HA!  I highly approve of this.    It's hard to believe the forums aren't planning DA3. Really.    ;) [I think I heard the dull thud of a designer fainting]
