Story dlc please. Not this crap. Why weren't most of these items in the vanilla game? Most are probably just reskins with different stats?

I don't think they are just reskins they all look different from the items in game.

Thanks for posting these! What does the codex entry for the Eye of the Bearded Dragon say if it has one? It's not Varric's doughnut is it? That would be a nice touch.

41 items isn't bad for that price, they should definitely think about rejigging the web page for it to show how much you get as I'm not sure how clear it is at present.

Unfortunately no codex entry for that particular piece.

Agreed Apollo. A little advertising goes a long way. I was pleasantly suprised with the product. As fast as I've looked, the fast majorty have new skins AND models guys.

Story DLC and Item Packs aren't mutually exclusive, item packs were coming out regardless. It isn't surprising it released first considering it doesn't require the load of work that story DLC has. They couldn't have also simply been put in the vanilla game because they didn't exist then, unless you're telling me all future items ever created should have been put in the vanilla game.

Guys...guys...please. as mostly an observer here who loved DAO and was less than pleased with DA2, you are murdering this franchise with bad decisions. I'm anti DLC on principle, but DA2 screams out for something, some buzz, a great addition, just...something, anything. And an item pack is your answer? Come on. Make better decisions. Please.

This is silly. Making an item DLC doesn't exclude making whatever "something" you're begging for here. There isn't even that much overlap with the resources required.

i know opinions are like ****s....everyone has them etc, but i just cant see how this game is so different from the first as to make people uninstall...im sure many of these complainers are either spitting dummies out or are just plain net-nubs who like to moan about everything

as for the items...im on act 2 of my first playthru, so items are either too low or too high...lol....they look good though

i feel for BW....damned if you do, damned if you dont

I don't mind that people hate the game, fine, uninstall it. But some people feel the need to say over and over how much they hate the game in every single thread.

To stay on topic, my only complaint is I really want to use that lower end mage gear later because it looks awesome!! But it's not strong enough for my mid level mage D:

Truth. If you hate the game, or hate the offered DLC don't buy it, don't play it. But don't  sweepingly insult everyone that does enjoy the DLC, or the game. Calling everyone that buys it blind, or stupid, or crazy, whatever is just unnecessary.

Someone already posted the stats, but here's some concise images for those who want a pretty version.

Entire set includes 41 items. For 5 dollars, not bad I say.

Any companion exclusive "trinket" and the weapons. Armor is only for Hawke.

For the interested, Here's some screenies of my Hawkes wearing pieces from the Rogue & Mage sets. (the suits not featured on the DLC page.) Much nicer than the ones in the Warrior set in my opinion.

rogue  mage

thanks for the screens. I was wondering what they looked like, that helped.
Great looking MHawke. Very roguey. If that is a word.

Wondering if those weapons are too big for my female rogue.... Guess I could always use it as an excuse to make yet another Hawke

It's true, I don't like it, and I won't buy it. I still think it's a ****ty product. You could make the same argument that all of the people who didn't like the whole of DA2 and came here to vent, simply shouldn't buy it (or shouldn't have bought it).

Which may be true still, however there is something -- relieving? -- about venting when a company makes a ****ty product instead of the product you'd have preferred they made instead. It's selfish and a bit irrational, I know.

This explains why they are never releasing a tool-set. These item pack DLCs I guess are good for console users, but PC users don't need them since you can get nice items from MODS. But if they don't release a toolset it makes it that much harder to make mods for the game so more of a reason to fleece PCs users for these item packs.

The flaw with your argument is that your definition of a bad product is one that you do not want. This is optional and does not impact the game. If it was not made, it would not in anyway affect progress on patching or story-driven DLC. What did you want? Armor with lasers? :alien:If you want something other than an armor pack, this pack does not delay that at all.

EDIT: The content itself is very well made and exactly, or better than, advertised.

Mmmmkay then why not quote reply them instead of using my post. I am not them, I did not post their words, nor did I think for them?

I think I'm going to skip the item pack. An item pack is something we could make ourselves in the toolset, if that were available. I'd much rather pay for the toolset.

^This. Toolset , please.

Beyond that though, since I've long been done with DA2 and have uninstalled it, tossing in some overpowered, insane looking gear isn't going to get me to play the game. I just hate how in ME2 and now in DA2, you have a relative lack of decent loot in the main game and they always shove loot DLC out the door first.

I don't think they are ever going to release a toolset.  There would be no reason for PC users to buy DLC content if they did.  They want the money.

So I bought this pack and there is plenty of space for ruins, my question is since the items get better as you level up and you already placed a ruin in say a level 5 dagger for example fire, you get a +2 to fire damage, does the ruin damage go up as well?

The first warrior armor is a 1 to 1 copy of the Legion of the Dead armor from Origins.

It certainly makes it far less accessible.  I have been poking at them in my spare time, but it certainly isn't *fun* this way.  It does sadden me. My only hope is that they use the first 6-8 months to sell their DLC and then release a toolset so we keep the games on our computers.  *fingers crossed* Disappointed, not surprised, remaining ever hopeful despite it.
